First of all, Barbara and her brother Giacomo are unique - very attentive, helpful and friendly. I do wish we could have stayed longer than one week. Whenever I decide to come back to Tuscany again I will always try to book Il Ciliegio. Our apartment was spacious, located on 2 floors, perfectly clean and comfy. We loved the towels and linen, smooth and fresh. There was a day we wanted to have a barbeque, Giacomo helped to light a fire, one more time - many thanks Giacomo. 😉 There are also 2 friendly cats belonging to the property, you can scratch them as many times as you want and both of them love it. Grazie Barbara, Grazie Giacomo! 🙂 PS. The location is great and Wifi works perfectly.

To visit likes of Siena or Florence or just start on it to Siena. The hotel is lovely rooms modern and greAt staff and the breakfast room view of the Tuscan landscape is breathtaking. Lots of tourists during the day in the city but many leave by the evening.

The hotel is so central and even though it is in the thick of all the action it is so quiet and peaceful. We had a quadruple room with a double bed and two single beds which worked perfectly for our teenagers. The breakfast was brilliant and even nicer that it could be eaten on the terrace. It’s in the centre of the ZTL so you can’t drive there but we parked in car park P2 and walked through (a bit embarrassing for the kids dragging their cases through the tourists!)

The central location is brilliant. The view of the square from the balcony was amazing. The room was lovely and likewise the bathroom. We had breakfast on one morning in the restaurant, which was fantastic. Such a wonderful choice. I would stay in Hotel La Cisterna again in a heartbeat! Thank you! We also had a fantastic wine-tasting experience with Giorgia in the Fontanaleone shop to the left of the hotel on the square. A highlight of our stay in San Gimignano!
