This place is really fantastic!! The village Agira is absolutely crazy to drive but once you navigated through the tiny roads, you´ll be rewarded with spectacular views on top of the hill. You can park your car along the slightly wider road at the entrance of the hilltop village and walk your way through the narrow and old alleyways to your room (ca. 300 meters depending on where your room is). The rooms are spread across what is best described as a separate village above the actual village (with the difference that it is facing towards Mt. Etna unlike the rest). We loved it! The spectacular view, the sunny terrace, the comfy bed, the romantic bathroom (yes!), the well lit rooms and stone walls, the tasteful interior decor, the pleasant room temperature in March, the incredibly friendly and honest owners who speak very well English... but perhaps the best was the tasty and reasonably priced food at the restaurant on the same property - we ate the most delicious (vegetarian) antipasti ever!! Highly recommended - you won´t regret it! Coffee lovers should note: Between 10 am (when the breakfast place on the property closes) and 7:30 pm (until the restaurant on the property opens), there is no place nearby to get coffee (this, however, might apply to off-season weekdays only). One has to walk a steep kilometer downhill to the nearest café. Mario, correct me if I´m wrong :)!

Fantastic house near the central square with perfect renovation, new furniture and fixtures, 3 bathrooms, gorgeous terrace overlooking the city and the central cathedral. Free car park 100m away. Excellent breakfast. Very nice, friendly hosts. Close to the main outlet of Sicily. Ideal place for those looking for a hotel in the area. Highly recommended

Oasi del lago Is a family run b&b, which makes you feel home immediately. The owners are very friendly and helpful. Loved talking with them and with the nonna. They own a restaurant and a bar with the accomodation and the food is really good and good value for money. breakfast was amazing with sweet and savory goods, plus fruit. The room is spacious and clean. They have private parking. If travelling with kids they have a playing area plus ponies which I also loved watching. It is situated in a very quite area and you can easily walk down the lake and relax there and go for a walk. Close to the lake there is an tree adventure park.

Superb hosts at this family-run B&B! The owners arrived immediately when we showed up, and very kindly opened up the bar for us as we got settled. They’ve even brought in a family member to translate for us! Outstandingly comfortable and clean rooms - all the amenities, including free WIFI and parking. The attached restaurant is awesome and the service second to none. Breakfast was a treat - they went and brought fresh croissants directly from the bakery at 0700 hours! Really a pleasure to stay here - a real gem owned and managed by really nice people!
