We had an incredible stay at the Country Hotel. The rooms were great and so was the breakfast. We were really looking forward to eating dinner at their on-site restaurant, but unfortunately it was already closed for the season. Nevertheless, it was only a few minutes into Hofn where there were some great restaurants (our favorite was Pakkhus). The hotel has beautiful views of the mountains and you can see multiple glaciers from the breakfast room!

Just 5 minutes’ drive from Höfn in south-east Iceland, this hotel is found along Route 1, close to the country’s largest glacier Vatnajökull.

Very spacious room. Beautiful views out the window. Beds were really comfortable. They thought of all the little things. A place for your suitcase. A wall mirror. Hangers for your jackets. Spot under them for your shoes. A nice table to work from. Tv. Very fast wifi. Washroom was big and the shower was nice. very clean. Staff were super friendly. Breakfast was good. Thanks for a great stay!

Beautiful hotel in a picturesque setting with a view of the nearby glacier if the weather is clear. We loved the restaurant in the hotel and our service was excellent. This was the only Fosshotel our group stayed at while in Iceland as they were generally more pricey than our other accommodations, but we thought it was well worth it!

I was fortunate to have a free room upgrade through booking.com. My room was massive! I was originally supposed to be staying in my rented campervan, but the local campsite was closed and the weather forecast was for rain. I'm sorry I never got the lady's name on the front desk, but she was amazing! Really lovely and engaging. Recommended that I go to the local pool for a soak in their hot tubs. Best advice ever! Great selection for breakfast

The Höfn Hostel is an affordable accommodation for solo travelllers. There is everything you need, the staff is very friendly and helpful, everything, for example kitchen and bathrooms are super clean and the bedchambers all have windows, a good circulation and are comfortable. You also may make new contacts with a lot of people :-)
