This is truly a world class hotel, situated high on a hill overlooking the sea, in the middle of nowhere. Beautifully decorated room, comfortable beds, lovely bathroom with steaming hot water. Our evening meal in the stunning restaurant was superb, seafood chowder followed by Arctic Char, perfectly presented. Reception at checkin was friendly and efficient. We requested a delayed departure until 1:00pm which was granted without charge.

Set next to Hof turf church, this hotel offers an on-site restaurant and free WiFi. Skaftafell National Park is 15 minutes' drive away from the hotel. Cape of Ingolfshöfdi is 3 km away.

We stayed in a bungalow next to a sheep farm. There were many cute lambs to watch. The bungalow had all the facilities we needed - refrigerator, cooktop, coffee maker... Clean and quiet. Plenty of room for four adults (parents and adult children).

I enjoyed living in a home designed by an award winning architect. Beautifully appointed with everything to expect in a luxury home. A short drive to glacier hikes and puffin tour. It was a splurge but worth it.
