The annual music festival was great as ever with fine...
The annual music festival was great as ever with fine program and performing artists. The new church has outstanding acoustics and do not forget do have a glance at the old church from 1887 and the Snorri Sturluson bath originated from 13th century.

We stayed about 20 min away in a private chalet.
We stayed about 20 min away in a private chalet. But there is a hotel there, location is good if you want to explore the western section of Iceland. We had dinner one night at the hotel and it was very good. The staff was very helpful and friendly.

We very much enjoyed visiting Hraunfossar and Barnafoss.
We very much enjoyed visiting Hraunfossar and Barnafoss. We loved Krauma and seeing the Deildartunguhver Hot Springs. We ate at Hotel Á and the Rock 'n' Troll restaurant--also one I would recommend.

This was the second time we booked this hotel, last time we got a room in the older part. This time we were in the new part and the new rooms are super nice. Also the bed was super comfortable and they have the best duvets we ever encountered! The Staff at the reception (Liliana) was super nice and professional!!!

The reception was more than welcoming, made us feel like home. They were also very helpful, answered all our questions.
I personally believe this was one our favorites stays in Iceland.

Great stay in the wooden cabin. Very well organized. The room was very clean and welcoming. Highly recommended for a stop in your road trip around Iceland!
