I have driven through on numerous occasions but never stopped. I was pleasantly surprised by the place. Lovely view of the lake adequate local facilities close by and only a half hour drive to Geyser and Gullfoss.

Laugarvatn is in an excellent location between the national...

Laugarvatn is in an excellent location between the national park to the west, and Geysir and Gulfoss Waterfall to the east. It has a beautiful view of the lake and the surrounding hills, a few restaurants, gas, and plenty of lodging.

The room was available before check-in, the owner provided information on auto check-in in advance and also some discount options. Place is nice and clean and modern. Alerted us on northern lights and also when electricity went out for a bit for the town. Microwave was available in our room. WiFi and hot water was great. Welcomed with Icelandic chocolate.

Found this farm hotel while traveling. It was casual, clean, cozy place. Room was tight 3 twins, but that was all we needed for the one night. Location was near to several Golden Circle attractions. We will consider a return should we be in the area again.

Lovely, warm, comfortable room. Easy check in. Wonderful location - highly recommend a visit to Laugarvatn Fontana spa and their soup, bread and rye bread. Beautiful surrounding scenery.
