Our stay at this hotel was absolutely wonderful! The location was perfect for exploring the stunning south coast of Iceland, offering both comfort and convenience. The team members were incredibly friendly and helpful, always ensuring we had everything we needed. Breakfast was great, with a good selection to start the day right. A truly special moment was when the staff noticed it was my birthday and surprised us during dinner with a lemon meringue tart and a candle. Iceland is a very expensive place to travel and this guest house was average price for Iceland but the quality of the rooms were low average. Our room had such a bad slope on it we had to sleep at the other end of the bed with our heads above our feet. The bathroom had a toilet in the middle of the room, you had to walk around it to get to the shower and even though the room came with breakfast included it was very poor quality.

The hostel is easily located. The cleanliness is top notch. Super easy to check-in. Parking is right in front of the main door. Pantry is fully equipped. Bathroom/shower is sufficient for both floors and squeaky clean. Just that the Quad room is abit small.

High quality apartment, beds great etc. Problem was getting there was a hassel of the off road time with very difficult roads. Too expensive given that. And it was a construction site, per the picture out of our window.

There was a lot of noise.

There was a lot of noise. We weren't on the main building and when people walked in the hallway you got a lot of noises. Also the fan in the toilet turned on every time you turned on the lights and it stayed on for 15 minutes after.

We stayed in Kirkjubaerjarklaustur and made day trips to the glacier and to black beach. If you have a car, it is a great place. The scenery is beautiful and it is a good location to explore the south eastern part of the island. It is a bit of a drive for groceries and I suggest you buy them in Reykjavik or at a larger town on the way to the south.

Excellent in every way. We loved the hotel and the surrounding area. The cabins were very comfortable and equipped with everything we needed. The staff was very friendly and attentive. I would definitely return; it's a place of relaxation and tranquility.

A very well run establishment that is somewhat better than a typical hostel, but not quite of hotel standard. The wi-fi was the best we experienced in Iceland (anywhere) at 75mbps and all areas were spotless. The clientele were families rather than solo travellers so don't expect to meet up with fellow travellers and not much info was posted with regard to activities in the area. That being said, there was a pretty good mix of nationalities staying overnight and we had no complaints whatsoever regarding the facilities.

Good location in busy South Iceland right next to a beautiful waterfall and a seperate excellent restaurant. Not as much value for money as in other parts of Iceland but the south is expensive and in demand. Our room was clean and comfortable if very small, with a view of a paddock of horses. Breakfast is a pre-prepared tray with plenty of food. Not fancy but good.

We had an amazing stay here at Eldhraun Holiday home. The cabin was clean, very cosy and had everything one could need while staying there. Linda is an amazing host and very easy to communicate. Breakfast was delicious and hot tub was a perfect way to relax after a long day. Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Iceland.

We were upgraded to the Magma Hotel, to a room with a big glass sliding door facing a mild show of the Northern Lights that went on all night. As a result I can't really comment on the Landbrot Guesthouse, but it is in the same location which was wonderful!
