Well equipped kitchens and spatious common/eating room. Enough shared bathrooms. Location good for us as a stop on a long journey from Selfoss to Vatnajökull; itself, it is in the middle of nowhere, but that perhaps helped us to enjoy even more the polar lights we saw in the evening. (And as a bonus, our room was next to a side entrance to the building.)

I have never stayed in the apartment with share bathroom, I thought it was dirty and inconvenience,but the share bathroom is so clean, that's really out of my expectation. and it's very quiet in the evening, I slept very good.And the receptionist is so nice and helpful, If I come to Iceland again I would love to stay here again.

Don't listen to previous negative reviews, new owners are completely different. Had such a welcoming stay here, the lobby and dining room have the most amazing hygge vibe. Staff amazingly welcoming, lovely dinner and breakfast. Felt like a stay with family and friends. Rooms super comfy, clean. Hot tub is great.

We loved our stay at the cute, cozy, and very Icelandic cabin at the Magma Hotel. It felt very private, and the view of the lake and woods and horses across the lake were superb. Our buffet breakfast was delicious with lots of tasty variety to choose from. The staff were friendly and very helpful. We highly recommend a stay in this superb hotel for a true Icelanic experience.
