The best accommodation we had in Iceland, really amazing! Great location right on the Ring road about 40 km from Vík with breathtaking view on Holtsos lagoon and ocean. There's a great story behind this family-run farm and guesthouse, including their private Elf Town, which makes it even more special. The owners are very friendly, caring and helpful, we had all necessary information before arrival (including the reminder to buy groceries, because the nearest store is far) and there was delicious home-made cake ready for us! We almost felt like home. Our room was spacious, clean and comfy. Fully equipped kitchenette with basic ingredients (coffee, tea, sugar, salt, oil, soy sauce) + in case of need you can use the kitchen at the reception desk area where they store everything that other guests left. They also have hot tub for guests at the property, but we did not try it. Also books and games available to have some fun in the evenings. Everything was just perfect.

Fantastic apartment for two at an unbelievable location. It is modern, clean and has all that you will need for a short stay. The host is friendly and helpful. Look out for many horses and sheep that graze near the surroundings of the apartment. Definitely recommend it for a short stay near Hvolsvöllur or Vik.

I would have liked to have more time to get up in the mountains and hike, visit the glacier, and explore Vestmannaeyjar islands. The property was very convenient to explore many attractions, like Skogafoss and Seljalandsfoss, and also not too far for a day trip to Vik.

We found the hotel welcoming and cozy, restaurant was also very nice and we loved the food. We used the outside hot tubs and they were a wonder of relaxation with all the storm around us.
