The location in the forest was very nice. The room was large and clean. Nice staff. The breakfast was excellent with a large selection of food and drinks.

The owner was super helpful and kind, very understanding to our plan changes, because we traveled a long way and I had an injured ankle. The location was truly awesome, close from the Egilstadir town, where you can easily get lunch/dinner and buy groceries. It was also very private and secluded, with nearly no light pollution, so it was a great place to hunt Aurora. Also, the famous lake with the icelandic version of a Loch Ness monster is right underneath the property. There is also a nice waterfall about five minutes driving from the cottage and the famous studlagil canyon ain't too far away. The property was very cozy and yet modern, with private bathroom, functioning kitchen and even a fireplace with wood just ready to be lit. It offers a nice view outside the main window and even through the one in the roof. Everything was clean and quite new. We really recommend this place, it is a bit pricey but worth it.

One of my best stays in Northern Iceland, great room with awesome views! Great bathroom, a little seating area to look outside and plenty of space. Breakfast was great, plenty of choice and staf were friendly.

Situated in Óbyggðasetur and only 15 km from Hengifoss, Hóll features accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking.

We were finally able to do our laundry! But aside from that, we had an entire gorgeous house to ourselves. Nice to feel like we were relaxing at home after a string of hotels.
