Very nice hotel, cosy, big, warm rooms; all needed facilities are there. Location is incredible - just in front of the waterfall. We havent visited restaurant, but it looked really nice and inviting!

The guesthouse is clean and comfortable. There is a kitchen there for self cooking. The heating pool outside is very warm. The surrounding is quiet and there is few horse near to the guesthouse. Short drive 20min to the Myvatn lake to see the northern light.

We absolutely loved our stay here! The accommodation was spacious, well-equipped, and very quiet — perfect for unwinding. The kitchen was great and had everything we needed to cook simple meals. The sofa was large and super cozy, ideal for relaxing and watching something in the evening. The heated floors in the bathroom were a lovely touch, especially on colder days. We also really appreciated the free washer and dryer. The bed was very comfortable and made for a restful night. Easily one of the top two places we’ve stayed during our trip to Iceland. Highly recommended! One small suggestion for improvement: adding a dishwasher and an exhaust fan in the kitchen would make the space even more convenient.

We absolutely loved our stay here at Öndólfsstaðir! We stayed only one night and we wish it would have been longer. Abba, the host, is exceptional and she personally makes the most fantastic breakfast for you - the waffles and the eggs from the farm were amazing. The room was super clean and the beds were incredibly comfortable. There are two friendly dogs, Brúnó and Blámi, who are the cutest. I cannot recommend this place enough! If you are staying in the north of Iceland you have to stay here. It is 40 minute drive to Akureyri, 40 minute drive from Mývatn Nature Baths. It is perfectly situated. Also we saw our first northern lights in Iceland when we stayed here. 100/10 stars from us ❤️
