Jon and his family provided a most warm welcome throughout our stay. The room was of an exceptionally high standard, as was the breakfast. He also brought us to see an absolutely beautiful ravine out on his farm.

A simple but magical place! (Snorri Stulurson once owned it!) Plus a top location to reach Landmannalaugar if you‘re not planning to stay in the huts or didn‘t get a spot. The breakfast is simple and no-nonsense. But I loved the pool, jacuzzi and the surrounding view on actual trees. Very friendly owners, it’s a family-driven place. No wifi in the rooms, but that didn‘t bother us for one night. Would love to come back!

Breakfast has vegetables! Unlike cold salad, the vegetables that includes mushrooms,pepper and zucchini serve as a hot dish makes the breakfast more healthy and yummy. The staff in reception is attentive, informative, professional in handling situations, smiling, friendly and yet efficient. Secret lagoon is in walking distance. The hotel is quite central for visiting most main spots. It's nicely decorated. The room is spacious. The bathroom is warm and well-equipped. One of the tea flavour in the room is ginger! It's rare in most hotels but this really makes me feel special. In such a cold weather I can make a hot ginger tea after a long drive in such snowy weather. I also heard that there was northern light last night!

Been through a range of guesthouses across the entire Iceland and this one has to be one of my favorite ones. Very comfy and cozy vibe of the house. Really comfortable beds, large rooms, large and well equipped kitchen. Great views and also large living room. Two bathrooms which were also really nice. We also met a kitten :) - Highly recommending staying here!!!
