We have been travelling in Iceland for 3 weeks and have stayed in some outstanding (plus a couple of not quite outstanding) accommodations. The Lake House is by far our favourite. The view from the conservatory and the deck were exceptional. We decided to take a ‘rest day’ here to just enjoy the view, the peace and the hot pot. It was great having access to coffee, herbs and spices left by the owners to use in our meal prep. Access was very easy with the lockbox. The heating was already on for us which was greatly appreciated. Btw I loved the swans in the pond. 😂

It was a lovely space, in total 4 rooms , common kitchen and bathroom. It is in a quiet area we loved it and went back for a second visit.

The hotel was well located and an easy walk into the centre of town, the cathedral or the harbor. A fabulous buffet breakfast was on offer every morning and very convenient self managed luggage storage was available. The staff were multi lingual and very helpful. Loved the industrial vibe of this hotel.

Everything was perfect. The people there are welcoming and friendly. Loads of space to park. Dinner was really nice. Easily the best view we had from any accommodation during our time in Iceland (which is really saying something because it's a beautiful country). The room was spacious, comfortable and clean with all the facilities we could possibly have wanted. We used the hot tub and sauna shortly after we arrived which was just perfect after our long journey.
