We have been travelling in Iceland for 3 weeks and have stayed in some outstanding (plus a couple of not quite outstanding) accommodations. The Lake House is by far our favourite. The view from the conservatory and the deck were exceptional. We decided to take a ‘rest day’ here to just enjoy the view, the peace and the hot pot. It was great having access to coffee, herbs and spices left by the owners to use in our meal prep. Access was very easy with the lockbox. The heating was already on for us which was greatly appreciated. Btw I loved the swans in the pond. 😂

Very conveniently located, friendly staff, everything was nice. The shower was exceptionally nice also. The hotel has a good breakfast buffet, and there is also a very nice bakery in the entrance. The hotel’s location is very nice, opposite the harbour and near a pickup bus stop.
