The staff were very friendly and helpful and went out of their way to ensure we had a great stay! The rooms on Level 2 are exceptional quality and so spacious. The hotel is so conveniently located we could walk to dinner and the museum without any trouble.

I recently visited Sulaymaniyah, and I was truly impressed...

I recently visited Sulaymaniyah, and I was truly impressed by the beauty of the city and the warmth of its people. The natural scenery around the city is absolutely stunning, with beautiful mountains and green landscapes that create a peaceful and refreshing atmosphere. Walking through the city, I found it to be vibrant yet relaxed, with a unique charm that makes you feel at home. What made my visit even more special was the kindness and hospitality of the people. Everywhere I went, I was met with friendly smiles and genuine offers of help. The locals are incredibly welcoming and proud of their city, and it's easy to see why. Sulaymaniyah is a perfect blend of natural beauty, culture, and heartfelt hospitality. I’m so grateful for my time there and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a truly memorable experience.

The markets aren't as organized as Duhok.

The markets aren't as organized as Duhok. But you can get nice deals and carpets in a few shops. Most goods we purchased in a road trip to Biyara and hit a few towns along the way. When you arrange for a vehicle, get an SUV or minivan with good AC. This will cost you $100 per day max and you can hit 3-4 nice stops over an 8 hour period. We traveled to several waterfalls and Biyara (Iran border). Of course, when your spouse speaks Arabic things go smoother. They speak Kurdish in Slemani, but Arabic is understood. You can purchase tower apartments for 30-40K dollars.

Beautiful views. Super nice people. A lovely city with great shopping and delicious food. Nicely priced, too. Be sure to go to the top of the mountain for sunset. And to see the amphitheater in the big park. Great vibes!

The location of the hotel was very good, the staff of the hotel, especially the reception, were excellent. Our room was big and clean, the hotel breakfast was excellent with a view of the city But the hotel's cooling system was not working well, we informed the reception several times, but they did not fix it, of course, it was also due to the nationwide power outage. The hotel is not very new, the interior design is old, I did not like the painting inside the halls

GM is the best hotel in Suli. It's location is perfect to go around the city and perfect to start your planned journey in all of Sulaimani. The price is relatively high but it can be dealt with if you want maximum comfort and a thorough experience.

Hotel is a genuine 5 star considering how in Kurdistan hotels tend to award themselves what ever they feel like. Breakfast was excellent. Room was the size of a junior suite.
