Getting around is easy. Nice parks and resorts and tourist areas. I liked the tourist areas around Erbil, short day trips then you can go back to your hotel in the city. Erbil itself is an interesting historical city but you probably only need two days to visit most of the highlights. It's easy to get around as there is always a glut if taxis. It helps if you have gps and you know the local name of where you're going. Staying in Ankawa probably makes the most sense for any tourist as many of the best restaurants ( Fuul & hummus), bars (Dusk) and spas are there. Erbil is also a perfect base for travelling the governorate including Haji Ormran, gslgurd mountain and Felaw pound, Bekhal, Gali Ali Bag, korek mountain and Shingalbana
