This is a lifetime memorable experience that I would recommend everyone who can afford the money. I wouldn't treat this as a cost. It's an investment for experiencing something very special. The massive and huge Tehri Lake, the turquoise green colour of the water, the scenic backdrop of Mountains, the newly constructed majestic Dobra bridge and the floating huts right in the middle of it all. It's an experience that you will remember lifelong. The cold climate and golden rays of Sunlight early morning added to the beauty of the location. I have been to various parts of Europe, Scandinavia and UAE. I would rate this on par with anyother similar great international stay experience. The morning breakfast was probably one of the tastiest food I have ever had. They had a very good spread. Idli, Paratha, Pasta, Kichdi, Poori, Omlette, Poha.. The Idli was much better than what you get in South Indian resorts. Everything was delicious. The dinner was tasty too but super pricey. For 5 adults it costed 7K. They had Ala Carte for Dinner (no buffet due to low occupancy). They had Jetski facility that was enjoyable. They take you beyond the bridge and bring you back. But it's 1K per individual (in the government adventure centre near the dam it is 250 per person). The rooms were super comfortable, spacious enough, with AC, room heater etc. The best is the balcony in the background of huge lake and mountains. Morning sunrise is on the balcony side. Beautiful it is to sit there and look at the scenery. Looking at the mixed reviews in Google, their recent controversies.. I was apprehensive about going there. But thank God, I made the right decision to stay there. I will cherish this forever. Given the price I wouldn't recommend staying there for more than two nights. Infact one night will suffice if you check in on time by early afternoon and checkout as late as possible. Since you are inside, nothing much to do beyond a point.

I loved my stay at La Riqueza Hotel in Kanatal. The location is peaceful with beautiful mountain views(Himalaya Mountains we could see from the Balcony and terrace). The rooms were clean and comfortable, the food was great, and the overall atmosphere was relaxing. A special mention to Devendra and Gaurav from the staff — their hospitality, politeness, and quick service made the stay truly exceptional. They were always helpful and ensured everything was smooth throughout our trip.

India's largest dam and 2nd largest in its category in the...

India's largest dam and 2nd largest in its category in the world is a must see. Very accessible by excellent roads. around 2-2.5 hours from Rishikesh. Places to stay are rather limited but not much tourist when we visited in March 2021. In the same vein, places to eat are also limited. Tehri town near the dam wall has a few options which are decent. Kalafi is a local dish worth trying, its made of green leaves and has a peculiar taste, very likeable.
