Had a great stay! The property was neat and clean with a lovely mountain view and a peaceful environment. There’s no lift, but the staff—especially Nitesh—was amazing, very well-behaved, and always helpful. Online booking is cheaper, and all the essential facilities are available. Overall, a satisfying and comfortable experience! Highly recommended.

Such a nice hotel - with kind and attentive staff. We were made to feel very welcome and looked after during our stay. The room was big, clean and comfortable, with complementary water and little snacks as treats left each day. Hotel water was made available within moments, on request. There was a gorgeous meditation hall at the heart of the complex and big, green lawns outside. It felt very safe. They organised a good driver so we could explore the nearby Buddhist sites, they looked after our laundry at a good price and the restaurant prices were very reasonable, with good-quality food.

It’s a beautiful unpretentious and well maintained space. The restaurant serves tasty food. Quiet location and close to the Japanese temple, Brahmakund, Pandu pokhar. Great service by the staff.

I stayed for two nights in a bungalow here while visiting the important Buddhist places in the Rajgir area (The Vulture Peak, The Saptaparni Caves and The Shanti Stupa) and Pandu Pokhar has been like a garden of paradise. Everything is new, super clean and shining, there is an electric heater in the room and this was excellent because in November the nights are rather cold, there is also hot water for shower, staff is very polite and helpful, and the food was excellent too. This accomodation is the same high quality as any 4-star hotel in Western Europe. The park where the bungalows are located is very nice, the exterior design is simply excellent, too. The trail to the Saptaparni Caves (where the First Buddhist Council took place) starts about 150 meters from Pandu Pokhar, so it is super easy to get there. Following this trail, you will climb on a hill and from there you get spectacular views of the whole Rajgir area. This trail also has a lot of Jain Temples. Near the Pandu Pokhar there is a station where you can hire a horse-driven chariot to get to the base of the trail to the Vulture Peak (Grihad Kuta, where Buddha enjoyed sitting). I highly recommend this hotel, and if I return to this area I will definitely stay again in Pandu Pokhar. I simply loved it!
