We, a couple of middle age from Sweden, stayed at Surwahi Social Ecoestate Kanha for 5 nigths in january 2025. If you want a 5 star spotless experience, this Ecoestate is not for you. But if you want a genuine and personal India experience, this is THE place to visit. We had the very best stay, with visits to local villages and was able to come closer to India than ever before. This is our 4th visit to India, so we do have some previous experience. And this was by far the best experience ever! Mr Narendra Ji was very helpful in everything and made sure that we were satisfied. The communication with Lokesh was outstanding! And the staff do a fantastic job. The food! Delicious and plentiful everyday! The property is marvelous with lots of trees and very well maintained. They are doing a very good job to minimize the footprint of us tourists. I wish more places could do the same. We will definitely go back to SSEK the next time we visit Kanha.

Lovely welcoming staff and guide amazing 'tent' we stayed in all possible facilities so deep in the jungle. The food was great and created by a superb chef. The manager was extremely helpful and adapted to our needs very quickly.With all inclusive we are used to a menu of choices we were somewhat perplexed when the choice was curry or curry however the chef when asked prepared anything we asked for if he had the ingredients the result was magic.

Our stay has been unbeatable, it has exceeded all our expectations. The owner, Akhilesh, and his wonderful wife, Lia, have been attentive at all times and have made us feel at home. The tippys have all kinds of amenities, the rooms, as well as the entire hotel, are very clean. Lia's homemade food, all organic from her own garden, has been the best we have eaten in India. In addition, they were in charge of organizing all kinds of activities for us; from bike tours, long walks through the surrounding villages, to safaris where we saw tigers and all kinds of wild animals in the jungle. A charming place with extremely courteous staff. When out on a safari it can be tiring. They seem to know that and had accurate support planned well in advance - meals, refreshments, blankets etc. Similarly the bonfire and snacks experience was on point. Livening things up. Spa appeared expensive and the room could have been warmer. However the discount offered made it all worthwhile. The staff at the hotel is extremely supportive, prompt and courteous. All in all a great experience.

Breakfast was nice,,, but the spread could have been more especially with the continental cusine. Service people were courteous but there was a delay in service. Neat and clean and well decorated interiors.

The best part of our stay was that the staff were very courteous and always made sure that we were taken care of. They were super proactive about ensuring the guests had all comforts possible, this included special breakfast boxes they would pack for the guests to take into the safaris, or the blankets to make sure that the guests weren't cold out there. We never had any issues getting something that we asked for and they even went out of their way to make sure they could provide us with all the off menu food orders we placed.
