The Postcard Saligao is an oasis of hospitality in the most beautifully restored house with so much attention to detail and comfort. I felt like royalty! The staff is extremely helpful, all speak excellent English and are engaging and warm! Our meals were absolutely delicious, the chef is creative and the ingredients fresh and locally sourced. The hotel organised a wonderful driver for us and as the Hotel is well located, we were able to explore many of Goa’s tourist sights. We also explored the villages around Saligoa with the hotel’s bicycles. Every evening we had a yoga session on the porch with an inspirational yoga instructor . I wish I could stay longer and I do not think there is a more beautiful serene hotel in Goa than the Postcard in Saligoa! Thank you to the exceptional staff!

This is one of the worst experiences with booking dot com.

This is one of the worst experiences with booking dot com. Even after specifically mentioning that we would check in late (around 11 PM), the owner had given the room to different person. We had even tried calling on the day of check-in to inform that we will be checking in late. We couldn't talk to the owner as some other guy picked the call and mentioned that the owner is not present. This happened 3-4 times during our travel to the stay. Only after reaching the stay we realized that the room was given to someone else. The owner was very rude and told that things will happen according to their wish. Why would I even make a pre booking in that case?? I was even ready to make payment, if only the owner had talked to me. We ended up searching for another stay(tired after driving for nearly 8-9 hours) near by and stayed there. Worst experience ever. My humble request is to block list this stay and mark it as spam.

Not just calangute...entire north goa is a hype in the...

Not just calangute...entire north goa is a hype in the social media. Terrible traffic and congested roads...you will waste most of your time travelling. Even 2km distance takes 30 o 40 mins . Very noisy beaches with filthy food and drinks overcharged and simply looting the tourists. Always check the price of the food and drinks in case you decide to eat something from the beach restaurants. Conclusion - south goa is the best and agoda fort/beach truly picturesque. Stay in south and just visit 1 or 2 beaches in the north preferably in the early hours (6 to 7am) and come back.

Calangute/Baga was very vibrant, it's busy but it has a great vibe, the bars along the beach are great and a must see place in the evening. I visited a number of cities during my trip in India and Goa is a city you must see!

To enhance Calangute's tourism potential, we suggest: 1. *Unified Municipal Management*: Entrust the coastal belt (Porvorim, Pilerne, Candolim, Saipem, and Calangute) to a single municipal body for streamlined development. 2. *Infrastructure Upgrades*: Improve parking facilities, interstate bus stands, taxi stands, rickshaw stands, and bus termini for tourist buses. 3. *Local Transport Enhancements*: Develop efficient local transportation systems. 4. *Curbing Illegal Activities*: Crack down on touts, troubling areas, and mafias. By implementing these measures, Calangute can be developed into a world-class tourist destination, fostering growth and economic prosperity.

Calangute beach crowded during evening time with lot of...

Calangute beach crowded during evening time with lot of music in the background from beach shacks, especially near the main entrance . If you prefer less crowd, then move away from main beach entrance by at least half a kilometre on the beach. The beach visit should be in your must visit place list. There's multiple options for food & drinks. If one feel about harsh sunlight, then suggest you to visit either early morning or late in the evening, to spent time in beach

Beaches are ok, should be taken care of cleaning time to time... Restaurant ls are good, food was amazing, specially Anthony & Britos, must try Fat Fish restaurant's Fish Thali🤤 Goa has become little expensive but Alcohol & food is still affordable.

If you are going to visit north goa and searching for budget friendly hotel then this hotel is best for you , resort dont have many facilities but care taker and reception guy is excellent , parking is available, calangute beach and candolim beach are 2-3 km away and bagha becah is 1.3 km away. I got this hotel in 5700 for 5 days so check your price before selecting

Hotel olives is located in the center of Calangute. Lot of places to visit near the hotel. Lot of food options available near the hotel. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Security guard Ramesh help us a lot. If we come back north Goa than definitely we wil put priority for staying at hotel olives.
