Staff were brilliant. Incredibly friendly and helpful. Charles (owner) helped recommend beach shacks, restaurants, taxis etc. As a solo female traveller I felt really safe and welcome. Also as a bonus, the hotel doesn’t have its own bar but the staff will kindly run to the local shop for you if you wanted a beer or anything. Excellent value for money. I’m so glad I stayed here!!

Special thanks to Amit, Lucas & Laurence for going above and beyond making my stay at Casa Peacock welcoming & worthwhile. Anything I needed they got for me. My room was cleaned everyday I asked. I cannot fault anything of my stay here. Being welcomed everyday by the lovely Milu the resident dog also gave smiles everyday.

Excellent hotel I stayed with my Wife and son in this very stylish and modern hotel. I give the hotel management a thumbs up for the Décor and Team. The pleasant atmosphere and stylish furniture used in the lobby, at Boho Bar and Café , decorated with very beautiful handmade paintings, hanging lights along with plant species of tropical regions, increase the beauty of the hotel. The varied options in breakfast, and in the Menu is excellent. We enjoyed a variety of vegetarian and seafood dishes and a variety of delicious salads and desserts as well. The Service staff are very polite and experienced in their work, and the soft and soothing music creates a pleasant environment. The bedroom, bed and pillows gave us a comfortable sleep. The overall ambience of the hotel made us feel relaxed and comfortable at HUE GUH The Porto Candolim, which has left a lasting memory. We surely will visit back again.

This was a truly special and memorable stay. Would absolutely love to stay there again! Shikha was all over the messages to us pre-arrival to make sure this ran smooth. I loved it because their relaxed attitude to check in and check out times instantly makes you feel much better about the more annoying adminy parts of a holiday. We left just in time for our train to Mumbai late afternoon and it's rare you can use your room up until that time but perfect. The food and drinks were ace, the building was unbelievably gorgeous and historic but our favourite two things overall were the attention to detail everywhere and the staff/hospitality. We've never experienced anything like it. We felt so special, we were waited on pretty much 24/7. I can't name just one staff member because all were so professional, helpful and friendly. We would love to visit this postcard hotel again but also already have our eyes on trying the others. One of the most relaxing stays we've ever had. Whilst there, definitely eat at Gunpowder and visit Arpora night market if there on a Saturday (only open this day)

This is one of the worst experiences with booking dot com.

This is one of the worst experiences with booking dot com. Even after specifically mentioning that we would check in late (around 11 PM), the owner had given the room to different person. We had even tried calling on the day of check-in to inform that we will be checking in late. We couldn't talk to the owner as some other guy picked the call and mentioned that the owner is not present. This happened 3-4 times during our travel to the stay. Only after reaching the stay we realized that the room was given to someone else. The owner was very rude and told that things will happen according to their wish. Why would I even make a pre booking in that case?? I was even ready to make payment, if only the owner had talked to me. We ended up searching for another stay(tired after driving for nearly 8-9 hours) near by and stayed there. Worst experience ever. My humble request is to block list this stay and mark it as spam.

Not just calangute...entire north goa is a hype in the...

Not just calangute...entire north goa is a hype in the social media. Terrible traffic and congested roads...you will waste most of your time travelling. Even 2km distance takes 30 o 40 mins . Very noisy beaches with filthy food and drinks overcharged and simply looting the tourists. Always check the price of the food and drinks in case you decide to eat something from the beach restaurants. Conclusion - south goa is the best and agoda fort/beach truly picturesque. Stay in south and just visit 1 or 2 beaches in the north preferably in the early hours (6 to 7am) and come back.

Calangute/Baga was very vibrant, it's busy but it has a great vibe, the bars along the beach are great and a must see place in the evening. I visited a number of cities during my trip in India and Goa is a city you must see!

To enhance Calangute's tourism potential, we suggest: 1. *Unified Municipal Management*: Entrust the coastal belt (Porvorim, Pilerne, Candolim, Saipem, and Calangute) to a single municipal body for streamlined development. 2. *Infrastructure Upgrades*: Improve parking facilities, interstate bus stands, taxi stands, rickshaw stands, and bus termini for tourist buses. 3. *Local Transport Enhancements*: Develop efficient local transportation systems. 4. *Curbing Illegal Activities*: Crack down on touts, troubling areas, and mafias. By implementing these measures, Calangute can be developed into a world-class tourist destination, fostering growth and economic prosperity.

Calangute beach crowded during evening time with lot of music in the background from beach shacks, especially near the main entrance . If you prefer less crowd, then move away from main beach entrance by at least half a kilometre on the beach. The beach visit should be in your must visit place list. There's multiple options for food & drinks. If one feel about harsh sunlight, then suggest you to visit either early morning or late in the evening, to spent time in beach

Beaches are ok, should be taken care of cleaning time to time... Restaurant ls are good, food was amazing, specially Anthony & Britos, must try Fat Fish restaurant's Fish Thali🤤 Goa has become little expensive but Alcohol & food is still affordable.

The Hotel feels like a home, staff is very humble and treat with very warmth. Its very nice place for vacation, Very reasonable rates, cozy, comfort and clean. I Would like to recommend you to visit it if you're in goa and looking for homely vibes. Had an amazing stay here, this week. The ambiance feels homely. Next to Calangute and close to Baga and Anjuna beaches. So that's a plus. Friendly staff, comfortable rooms, and overall a pleasant experience.

The newly built infrastructure was beautiful! They had quite a good range of breakfast options, It tasted really good and was healthy at the same time. Reception staff, room service staff everyone were very helpful and kind towards us. Moreover, this property located in calangute made it easy for us to visit famous places nearby. Overall the stay at meritas auberge goa was pleasant. I would surely love to visit this hotel again for my next visit to Goa.
