We stayed at Flora Misty Falls for 4 nights in Oct-Nov. Everything about the stay here exceeded our expectations. The room was very spacious; the balcony was also quite big and most importantly the view of the falls from the room was superb. The experience of waking up to the falls was simply incredible. The food was also very good. Some items in the breakfast buffet, such as puttu, channa dal curry, poori, masala dosa, appam, chicken sausage - really tasted very nice. At dinner, the grilled prawns as the starter was our favorite and we ate it regularly here! They had a buffet spread for 2 days - some dishes in the buffet were really really good (Kashmir Pulao, Fried Rice, Pudding, Payasam, Duck curry, Chilly fish) The staff was really helpful with suggesting on places to visit and more importantly on the times to visit them too. The location of Flora Misty Falls is their biggest advantage. They are right next to the ticket counter of Athripally falls. A walk from here to Charpa Falls is also very good. Overall, it was a fantastic experience here and we will perhaps come back here one day!

Our three-night stay at the Rainforest Resort in Athirappilly was nothing short of magical. Waking up each morning to the thunderous beauty of the waterfall felt surreal, and the comfort of our room made it easy to sink into the rhythm of the place. But what truly set this experience apart was the people who cared for us. Snehal deserves the highest praise. His warmth and dedication transformed our stay into something unforgettable. He not only arranged a personal bike ride to another waterfall, but seemed to anticipate our needs before we even voiced them. His constant attention and genuine kindness made us feel less like guests and more like family. The chef’s food was another highlight—every meal was a celebration of authentic Indian flavors, varied and beautifully prepared. During our month in India, this was some of the finest food we tasted. He would come to our table, eager to know if there was anything more he could do, though the answer was always no—everything was already perfect. I must also mention the coffee, prepared by a gentleman whose name I regret forgetting. It was rich, aromatic, and easily among the best cups I’ve ever had. Meanwhile, my partner indulged in a three-day spa treatment guided by the on-site doctor. She emerged from it feeling renewed, as if the stress of travel had melted away. This was not just a stay—it was an experience woven with care, flavor, and unforgettable hospitality. Athirappilly Rainforest Resort gave us memories we will carry forever, and we recommend it wholeheartedly to anyone seeking both comfort and magic in equal measure.

Very well-maintained resort with beautiful lighting in the evening. Good home cooking at all meals, rooms are clean and our bed was incredibly comfortable. The river was very close and could be reached within 3 minutes to take a cool bath in the pools. Especially in the afternoon this place unfolds its magic. The special thing about this resort is definitely the warmth and generosity of the manager Mr. Shegkar. With his warm-hearted care, he creates a family atmosphere in which you feel welcome at all times.

The area is beautiful, don't get me wrong.

The area is beautiful, don't get me wrong. It is very very distant however, with complete lack of services. Don't expect pharmacies, selection of restaurants or even a large variety of activities. We visited dead in the middle of winter, but the heat and humidity make it virtually impossible for any sort of hiking or other extended physical activities. There's enough to do and see for one night, don't stay longer.
