Great hotel to vist the Dead Sea and Masada. It is respectively 30 and 45 minutes drive by the most spectacular road, it is so much cheaper than the actual Dead Sea resorts and you have city infrastructure nearby, with shops, restaurants, fast foods etc. Simple rooms with all things needed, very good breakfast. Big thanks for reception staff for early check in and late check out.

Unfortunately, we were there when the war broke out in Israel but they offered us to stay as long as we needed with no extra cost so we could keep safe. They invited us for a bonfire, to walk around, and to drink some beers so we felt relaxed and at home. We can't thank Kfar Hanokdim enough for everything they did for us. Arad itself is nothing special, but it’s a fine town with all the necessary resources (groceries, gas, restaurants, etc.). Location is its strength. An hour or less by car to Ein Gedi, the Dead Sea, S’dom, Beit Guvrin, Mamshit, and many more historical and natural wonders. Make it your jumping off point to enjoy the northern Negev.

A small town with a great connection to Jerusalem and Mesada. Even on Sabbath you find a nice bar and Supermarkets open in walking distance from our accomodation. Its great for a short stay to visit Mesada (we went to west-side entrance) and to take a day trip to Dead Sea. From Arad you can either go back north or continue to south.. however, after two nights you find that Arad itself doesnt offer much more to discover..

Arad is 30 minutes from the DEAD SEA Beach and a lot of Israeli national hiking routes. (Massada, Nahal Arugot, NAhal of King David) . The prices at Arad about 1/4 of the DEAD SEA area. So just rent a car. :)

newly renovated - super clean - well equipped - amazing jacuzzi - most welcoming We had a lovely stay at Bashiri's place! Very friendly and hospitable host who made us feel most welcome immediately. Do rely on the pizza recommendation :) Enjoyed the jacuzzi at night after a long tour in the desert - most delightful! We will come back & stay for longer!!

We stayed 3 nights in this cute place in Arad to visit the Dead Sea only 25 minutes away by car. The apartment was tastefully decorated in a modern style and functional in every aspect. Small tea kitchen with fridge and microwave and a nice dining table to sit at. Really cosy with the old school record player and collection of nice records - we danced more than once;) The hostess was very friendly and easy to work with answering messages before arrival and making appointments. We can only recommend others to stay at this place!

I chose Arad for part of my stay intentionally since I love this small city. It is rather quiet, easy to navigate, peaceful. When I saw the pictures of the Gamliel house, I knew I found the best place. The Judean desert view is stunning, the neighborhood is quiet, and all the pieces of art created by Itzik Gamliel, shared so generously with their guests, make the place a fairy tale, like living real a childhood dream. The hospitality of Yaffa and Itzik is just overwhelming.
