Perfect location, staff were lovely. Chamber and reception staff were exceptional. Weekend staff in dining room were not as attentive as the week day staff who were excellent even though there were only two people on. Breakfast was just okay, adequate for our needs but half way through our stay we went off the fried food - there were plenty of choices but I would have preferred more fruit choices. Lovely swimming pool, sauna and steam room but spa wasnt working unfortunately. Close to Waterford and Tramore, lots of local restaurants, bars and shops within a short drive so we were very happy and would definitely return.

Waterford Marina Hotel is in a fantastic location, a few minutes' walk from the centre but at the same time in a quiet and peaceful area at the confluence of two rivers. From the outdoor tables - where you can have dinner or a drink - you can watch waterfowl and foxes. The rooms are nice, large enough and clean, the bathroom large and comfortable. The staff is very friendly, especially the one in the restaurant/bar; we dined at the hotel twice and the food was excellent, the prices adequate and the service very good. There is plenty of free parking available, both in the forecourt in front of the hotel and indoors in a building opposite, with security cameras. It is a perfect place to visit Waterford County and Copper CoastWaterford is a beautiful city and our stay was very pleasant

It is a beautiful place, so much to see and do.

It is a beautiful place, so much to see and do. Winterval is amazing and the santa in the city square shopping centre was amazing. Great gifts for the kids and a lovely family photo too. Only €18 per child. No charge for adults.

Great place to visit loads to see and do.

Great place to visit loads to see and do. Great places to eat and drink and great for shopping lovely boutiques especially Kellys and other good shops. Mesums are good the famine and the wake mesum and the round toer. Lovely park on canada street with a lovley coffee shop in it. Tramore is also an excellent must see great seaside resort.

We liked that it was very easy to walk around the city and there were plenty of interesting things to see and do. We visited House of Waterford which was very interesting and the Medieval Museum. We had a meal in Emiliano’s Restaurant which we would recommend and would advise booking in advance.

The best way to describe Waterford is it's in transition.

The best way to describe Waterford is it's in transition. There's lots of building work being done, I'm sure in 5 years it'll be fabulous, just now it's decrepit. If you're on the hunt for beggars of hostile migrants then head for Waterford it's a world leader.

Waterford reminds me of Galway 20 years ago, it's unselfconsciously cool! There's a lovely laid back vibe with friendly locals, great coffee shops, lovely museums and a vibrant culture scene. We were here for the Lit Festival; a super arts event for young people! Waterford is small enough for you to be able to walk around with ease but big enough to be interesting. It's also close to great beaches.

The hotel was in a good location - only 10 mins walk from the city centre and 1 mins walk from the river. The public rooms were modernity furnished. There was a good variety of food for breakfast. Our room was large, clean and comfortable. The shower room appeared to be recently refurbished and was well presented. We arrived at lunchtime and the receptionist kindly allowed us to park our car in their car park saving us the hassle of finding city centre car parking. We checked in at 4pm.

We could not find fault with Dooleys Hotel. The staff were lovely, everything was very clean, breakfast was excellent with lots of choices. The beds were comfortable, overall we had a very positive stay and there was a pleasant atmosphere We would recommend Dooleys as a place to stay for anyone visiting Waterford and the hotel is also quite central

The Hotel is a holiday in itself. Old world charm with a gorgeous pub. The breakfast was the best we had in Ireland, and the staff were so warm, helpful and just what you want from a hotel. Our room had a quaint circular window looking out over the harbour. Just lovely.
