We originally chose Thurles for its proximity to Cashel and availability of lodging within our budget range. Part of Saturday was spent touring the Rock of Cashel & Hore Abbey, a 30-minute bus ride from Thurles,
If we would have known there was a Hurling event scheduled on Sunday, we would have stayed an extra night!
We had a delicious selection of Thai food at YI THAI on Parnell St. The service was fast and friendly. The prices were very reasonable for the high quality of the food.
Our second day we had a late lunch at Ryan's Daughter restaurant which closes at 5:30. The food was very good, however, my homemade dessert, apple pie with ice cream, was divine.

Very clean and quiet and plenty of space to park.
Very clean and quiet and plenty of space to park. Helpful, friendly host. Location easy to find from main route and only a few minutes to town of Thurles. Ate at a lovely pub and used the ATM in town. Easy to park and walk around town. Host even let us play her piano.

Lovely property,kept extremely neat and tidy. Comes fully functional and equipped with everything you need for your stay, including laundry facilities, towels, cooking appliances. You name it Beakstown house has it all. Decor was lovely, plenty space for a group, very spacious bedrooms and room for ample cars. The grounds were also kept very well, very safe as there is private gated access to the house. Only a stones throw away from the nearest pub and in very close proximity to Cashel and Thurles

In Thurles to visit family and friends. The manager/chef,James, made it like a cosy home away from home. Literally nothing was too much trouble! A shining example of well known Irish hospitality,including the magnificent full Irish breakfast, 5 star! Thanks James. Communication before my stay was excellent and ensured that an unexpected delay of my arrival was catered for without any fuss or difficulty. A well oiled machine! Many thanks.

Place was great location free parking comfy bed room and hotel so clean room was very hot Couldn't open a window cos there was a loud fan outside. Otherwise no issues breki was lovely staff very nice shower was superb.

Big bedrooms, very comfortable beds, lovely welcome pack, everything supplied in the kitchen that you could possibly need for self-catering, beautiful location, easy proximity to Thurles, Templemore etc.
