Lovely little village with very good childrens playground in the park and the shop for all things shillelagh (unfortunately closed when we were there due to the owner being ill). Beautiful, beautiful area - hard to beat, and not too far from the sea either.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Central house in the pretty village of Shillelagh while hiking the Wicklow Way. The rooms are bright, modern, spotlessly clean and tastefully furnished and the bed is very comfortable. I l really loved the common room where guests could meet and chat, it is a really lovely space. Great breakfast too. The owner is friendly and helpful and I highly recommend staying in Central house if visiting the area.

It has everything that you need. The netflix acc is a nice plus. I went here for the olde shillelagh and got my hands one the only one that he had ready. Definitely visit the shillelagh maker and the pub. Very friendly locals.

Such a quaint and inviting shared kitchen/dining room space upstairs! Central House is a unique combination of hotel and hostel; definitely a gem in the Wicklow Mountains that made my hiking trip all the more memorable.

Host Sean was excellent. Picked us up from the Wicklow Way. This was most welcome as the walk from trail to Shillelagh is quite busy. Room and facilities were great. Large comfy bed. All very clean.
