Our stay at Moineir house was exceptional. The location is perfect, near the cliffs, quiet town. The owners are very friendly and helpful, gave us really good reccomendations what to see nearby, even made a birthday surprise at breakfast Room was spottless. Breakfast very tasty. This really was home from home. We had a beautiful room with the perfect view. Teresa made us very welcome and breakfast was delicious, her home made scones are the best we've tried! The best thing about the property is the feeling of being away from it all, it's total peace, quiet and fresh air. We would love to return.

We didn't spend much time in Kilkee as it was just a base...

We didn't spend much time in Kilkee as it was just a base for visiting friends and family nearby, but we did walk on the beach and did most of the cliff walk. It's a good base for exploring the Loop Head peninsula too, but we did that on a previous visit. I would definitely stay there again, although not in the same apartments.

Lovely beach and swimming, visited Hook Head Lighthouse ans saw lots of Basking Sharks gathered for mating season, amazing. Met some lovely locals who made us feel very welcome and had brilliant trad session in O Meara's bar. Will be back.

The beach is fab, we also did the Flying Alpaca farm which the kids loved. Visited Vandeleur Gardens which were nice with activities for the kids and a nice cafe. Had dinner one evening at Myles Creek and went to O"Neills Funfair arcade as it was raining.

This is a great base for touring the area but transport is...

This is a great base for touring the area but transport is required unless you are super fit for hiking or cycling! We stayed 3 nights which we thought was sufficient to cover the area. There are a number of independent shops as there are in other places in Ireland but good to see them, we have lost so many from our high streets within the UK. Just opposite the hotel is a deli that made great sandwiches to order at a reasonable price. Numerous bars in the area if you wanted to take in the ambience plus the hotel had a bar with a good selection of drinks. Clean beach with a number of people swimming despite it being cold, obviously hardy souls!

The hotel was excellent the staff were amazing so friendly and helpful the food was beautiful with gluten free options our room was very comfortable with sea views would highly recommend this hotel kilkee was stunning as weather was gorgeous with fabulous big beach and lots of walks had a great stay

Gorgeous beaches loved that you could walk along the cliffs...

Gorgeous beaches loved that you could walk along the cliffs safely and easily for a 1.5 mile walk each direction right from town. Town looks a bit in disrepair at times. Our accommodation was great with wonderful service including the restaurant below it. Parking was easy.

The accommodation was very close to town. It was well maintained and bright! The beds were lovely and comfy. The bathroom was clean and nicely stocked. The service was very friendly and personal. The breakfast was home cooked and tasty. They were well able to deal with dietary requirements. Nothing was too much trouble.
