Great room and bathroom, absolutely spotlessly clean and very comfortable, with lots of space for putting away your things. The B&B is located in the center of the village, very close to the bus stop and to all the hiking trails. Theresa is very welcoming and prepares a very nice full Irish breakfast every day which gives you plenty of energy to go discover this beautiful region. Kilcar is nice, and although there is no restaurant there is a take away place and a mini markt for basic things. Plus there are three nice pubs! One of the best place we have been to during our stay in Ireland, we definitely recommend!

We were warmly welcomed by our hosts, they helped carry our luggage for us. Our room was spacious, clean, tidy and had a great view of the harbor. The bathroom was all we needed. We were directed to good places to eat. We had a continental breakfast which was all we wanted.

It is well situated to visit many of the outstanding areas of natural beauty which abound in County Donegal such as Killybegs town, Teilean pier, Sliabh League Cliffs and boat trips, Glencolumbcille, Malin Bhig and Silver Strand to name but a few. The local people display the lovely hospitality renowned in Ireland.

Kilcar is a very small town and as such there is nowhere to...

Kilcar is a very small town and as such there is nowhere to eat a main meal at night. It has an interesting local weaving mill that welcomes visitors to both shop and observe the products being made. The residents of Kilcar have created a very pretty community garden, right beside Kilcar Lodge. Kilcar is well positioned for visiting the spectacular Slieve League sea cliffs. It's an easy day trip to the beautiful Glengesh Pass (Ghleann Gheis), the white sands of Maghera Strand and Assarancagh Waterfall.

The scenery is fabulous and the beaches are stunning.

The scenery is fabulous and the beaches are stunning. If you like hill walking it is very suitable. The only drawback is the roads are very narrow so extra care is needed. The view from Muckross Head is amazing and a must on your stay in Kilcar.. It is not far from the secret waterfall and the fishing port of Killybegs where you can take a boat trip to the Slieve League cliffs which are spectacular. It is also near the picturesque Teelin harbour.

This was one of our favourite stays in Ireland. Theresa the host is a lovely, kind lady who made us feel very welcome in her beautiful home. The private rooms were spacious, immaculately clean and comfortable. Breakfast in the common parlour area was delightful and the food delicious. Kilcar is a small town but is well located for a visit to the magnificent cliffs of Slieve League and dinner at the Rusty Mackeral pub.

Great home away from home - cleanest B&B I’ve ever been to! Teresa, the hostess, really goes above and beyond to make sure her guests are comfortable! Kilcar Lodge is around the corner from the bus stop and handy enough to get to spots like Muckross Beach, Carrick and Killybegs (we didn’t have a car and things were a bit more complicated, so drive if you can)

The location is great with stunning views. A Traditional Irish thatched cottage located exactly on the Wild Atlantic Way. It is close to Slieve League, Killibegs, Kilcar and Muckross Head and several beautiful beaches. We enjoyed our homemade scones from Ann on our arrival. We definitely will be back visiting Ann and her wonderful cottage.

The home is in a beautiful rural location, by the small towns of Kilcar and Carrick, and right along the Wild Atlantic Way! The house has everything you need - it’s cosy, warm, and the kitchen and living area was great for a home cooked meal and peaceful stay along our road trip! The owners are very lovely and made us feel right at home!
