Very clean, well appointed, comfortable and well maintained room. Great location We considered the hotel 4.5 stars for it’s overall appearance, furnishings and service. This is a home stay so meals are not provided. But we stayed in one of their two stand alone apartments which had a kitchenette. The setting and view were extraordinary. Set above the hills of Kenmare, about a 5 minute drive into town. Immaculate landscaping with outdoor seating. Deer nearby. Absolute peace and quiet.

We were greeted by Irma when we arrived and given a choice of two beautiful rooms. The bed was comfortable and the room was very spacious. She gave us some ideas on where to go for dinner. Breakfast in the morning was fantastic with a large variety of options.

I love kenmare.

I love kenmare. We had a great night at the fright night and the next day we went to the waterfalls, lovely couple running it. I love the white room shop as I always buy something different there. We'll be back.

Kenmare is an absolutely charming town on the southern side of the Kerry Peninsula. Great dining, wonderful places to stay, such fun to walk all over the town and the perfect launching point for our tour around the Ring of Kerry. We stayed in a wonderful 'townhouse hotel' (bed and breakfast over a beloved pub) right in the heart of the town and loved it. Killarney seems to be the most popular launching point for exploring the Ring of Kerry but we opted for smaller, more local and charming in Kenmare. Absolutely the right choice for our family of four.

Kenmare is on the Ring of Kerry, which is a must-do.

Kenmare is on the Ring of Kerry, which is a must-do. Possibly better to start from Killarney as there is a fair amount to see between Killarney & Kenmare, & (going clockwise) it's a bit much to do last after a long day. In fact if time allows I would strongly suggest doing the Ring over 2 or even 3 days. But our experience was that Killarney accommodation is more expensive & sells out faster. Kenmare itself is pretty and pleasant and walkable, probably not necessary to spend more than a day there though.

A nice town with some lovely shops, restaurants and bars. A good base for visiting the ring of Beara, The Limetree and No.35 restaurants are lovely places to dine and there is ample bar food in the pubs too. Make sure to try out Tom Crean lager and ale!

Wonderful location at the cross roads of so many must visit places. The town itself is vibrant and charming and very well serviced with pubs and restaurants. What could be better after a busy day exploring then sitting outside Foleys catching the evening sun and enjoying a pint while deciding what and where to eat.

Lovely accommodation, very clean and the host Patricia couldn’t have been more helpful. So friendly and easy to get along with. The breakfasts were brilliant, every taste catered for. The location was spot on. Only 10 minute walk into Kenmare town which is absolutely charming. Plenty of great places to eat and drink, all with excellent service and quality. Will definitely be going back and will be recommending The White House to all my family and friends.

The breakfast was amazing, we felt really looked after. The guesthouse itself is so nice, and far better value than a large hotel we stayed in in Cork. Bridge Street Townhouse is a gem of a place, and the highlight of myself and my boyfriend’s trip round Cork and Kerry, along with Kenmare in general which is a great spot.
