The cabin was in a beautifully remote spot, off the grid that allowed for zero distractions. The bed was perfect, not only the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in but was fitted with an array of blankets that ensured that you didn’t want for more. The view was gorgeous and we visited Galbally village that held everything we needed for our stay. The board games provided were a godsend on a rainy night in. Everything was perfect! Even with our late arrival the first night, we were greeted personally and even had a pint of Smithwick’s delivered to our room for our weary driver (Dad of the family). The room was very large and comfortable for our family of four with very cozy beds and everything we could possibly need. The breakfast was delicious and very hearty. Lots of selection of hot and cold foods and delicious coffee. The Forge pub was a place we could have spent many more hours, enjoying the atmosphere and company of locals giving us tourist types a good-natured ribbing. :-) We were only here this time for a short event in Cahir, but would love to return for a longer stay just to spend time in the area and do some walking. Ruth and Liam are fantastic hosts.

Breakfast was perfect. So beautiful and flavorful. It was the best in our 9-day visit to Ireland. Patrick, Miriam and Elaine were the best hosts. We left feeling very good. Beds were comfortable with duvets that made you want to stay enwrapped in coziness. We loved hiking the grounds and learning about the family, home, work, and history. Ballinwillin House is an asset to Ireland's tourism industry. it's the real deal and a great ambassador for the country.
