- good location. Not in the centre of Donegal town but close to enough to walk to.
- hotel seems relatively new, good facilities. I had messaged prior to arriving to ask if our bedroom would have a bath fitted as my little girl with autism does not like showers and they said they would mark us down for a room with a bath which was lovely and accommodating.
-friendly and accommodating reception staff.
-lovely gardens and grounds
-lovely beer garden facilities for whenever the sun shines.

Donegal is a beautiful area, rugged and less crowded in April. Would highly recommend this area, particularly to people who like walking/hiking opportunities. Slieve League is a must and Glenveagh castle and gardens, which are open, are charming. Other attractions in the area are worth a visit.

Amazing little town, nestled in the mountains on the banks of a v fast flowing river. Staff were ever so helpful, nothing was a problem. It was a v pleasant surprise to have access to the swimming pool next door. The castle across the street is v interesting and free to enter. North west Donegal has spectacular beaches without any doubt. There are far too many houses built on land that has sea views, this has to be ignored by any visitors.
The Fanad peninsula was the best place, not as developed.

Donegal is one of the loveliest parts of Ireland and always worth a visit, from the wild countryside to Errigal mountain and the rugged coastline. The people are very friendly and welcoming. This was a short visit, but I have been before and stayed longer.

O' Donnell castle or Donegal castle was the highlight of our stay, plus a visit to Slieve League, as it was raining so much we just travelled around in the care, taking in the views as we could. Donegal is a great County to visit but you need the sunshine to see it at its best. If you visit Ireland, Donegal is a must place to go. Tara Hotel in Killybegs is the place to have your meals, great food great staff.
Beautiful property in a truly idyllic location with most wonderful hosts in Patsy and Anne. Couldn’t be more welcoming or hospitable.
Everything about this property lends to a really nice relaxing stay. Location is incredible for Walks Hiking Cycling etc while at same time only a short spin to Donegal town. Breakfast Cleanliness and hospitality of a very high standard. Would highly recommend.
Jack and his family are incredible hosts. We were greeted upon arrival and given wonderful recommendations on the area. We were able to park our car at the property and walk into town daily. There was a mini fridge in our room, coffee and tea, and something brought to our door each morning for breakfast. This is more like a bed and breakfast than a hotel. We had a wonderful time!
The location is super quaint and peaceful, I can imagine it would be great for a couple to have a romantic getaway. The "tent" was very warm and the furniture was comfortable. The cabin was well stocked with tea and other essentials. The cabin is surprisingly large too, it's bigger than a lot of hotel rooms in Ireland that I've stayed in. The owner is very attentive and helpful.
I liked the wildernes of Donegal and remoteness and privacy, beautiful Arranmore ireland and ferry across, sea food, tranquillity of country site plenty of space for family and an experience of old Irish town, friendliness of locals. Owner was very helpful. Easy access to take aways, restaurants or fully equiped kitchen if you like to cook. Definitely recommend.
Very conveniently located between Ballyshannon and Donegal Town in a lovely location. Beautiful self contained apartment with living room and kitchenette downstairs, very spacious bedroom upstairs. Very tastefully decorated, all facilities you could ask for in place. Lovely and very welcoming host, couldn’t have asked for any more. Highly recommended!
This place is a dream house. I was really hoping for an Irish country setting and it fulfilled that desire to the T. It's setting is unbelievable and so very quiet. Close enough to Donegal (my favorite Irish town) and yet set apart by being out in the country.
Beautiful hotel. Room was massive. Extremely comfortable. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful, gave us great suggestions to check out in the town. The Blas restaurant attached was phenomenal as well. Will definitely be back here next time I'm Donegal!
A great central location in Donegal town. Bars and restaurants all around and in the hotel they were very good.
Staff we very nice and helpful.
Good spacing in the restaurants due to CV19. Everyone wearing facemasks. Great .
Great location in Donegal. Just a 10 minute walk to the local town for pubs, restaurants and shops. We unfortunately staying out of season, so a lot of places were closed. The hotel restaurant shut at 5pm. Free parking.
Everything was wonderful - location is exceptional with gorgeous views and not far from Donegal Town. The rooms are beautiful and very comfortable. Food is excellent - breakfast has a fantastic choice, had dinner on
Geraldine was so accommodating and truly knowledgeable about Donegal. She served a lovely breakfast. The location is so close. We walked over the bridge to town. This is now my favorite village in Ireland!!!
Heeney's is about 2 miles from Donegal town, so a short drive. The room was very good, and the breakfast, included, was excellent. Breda is the consummate host, you won't find anyone better.
Reception were lovely; breakfast considering Covid excellent. Room was comfortable and clean. The hotel so near the town centre but such a good place for the coast and the countryside.
