We celebrated our wedding anniversary here, and the stay was great! The room was amazing, we enjoyed the spa, had a very tasty dinner with complimentary prosecco, biked around the lake and got a history tour of the castle! The staff were all great. Special shout out to the maintenance guy that repaired our buzzing door with limited onsite materials on a Sunday.

I had a really great stay here. I was in the small double, and the bed might be a bit tight for two people, but for me it was great. The owners were really lovely people, full of helpful advice and tips, and they had the best breakfast I’ve ever seen at a bed and breakfast. The location was perfect for exploring the town, I had intended on going out further but I liked the town so much I mostly just wandered around nearby. I would highly recommend staying here!

Donegal town has a number of places of interest for visitors and is a central location for easy access to a multitude of activities including waliking, fishing, golf, surfing, heritage sites, ... The scenery is fantastic. Plenty of options for food and drink, and more drink, and music The people and culture is refreshing

Donegal was the least favorite part of our two week trip to...

Donegal was the least favorite part of our two week trip to Ireland. We were bored. It was a sleepy small town and the food choices were limited. We didn't find people to be friendly or welcoming and in fact I was looking at souvenirs and decided to not buy anything, because I couldn't find what I wanted and the owner of the store called me a name. My hubby and I didn't get a welcoming vibe anywhere in Donegal.

I loved going into these stores: Forget Me Not and Distinctly Donegal. I enjoyed my conversation with the owner/creator of the beautiful silver jewelry at Distinctly Donegal. I will check out her website! I loved going to Slieve League and would’ve liked to spend more time hiking there.

Donegal is a beautiful county and the people go to great effort to ensure that visitors have a good experience. Unfortunately the inclement weather and constant mist cannot be controlled. This of course might be the attraction for some visitors. Good food available in bars throughout the county.

Unfortunately our time in Donegal was tainted because we...

Unfortunately our time in Donegal was tainted because we could never reach the Bridges Bed and Breakfast staff to check in. We waited two hours in the car calling, knocking on door, texting etc We ended up having to book another room elsewhere only to learn that the host is known for not showing up. To make matters worse, Booking.com would not refund our payment. Terrible experience and very disappointed.

Bernie is a very kind+attentive host who got the place ready for us at very short notice when our original host further north cancelled 12hrs before our flight to Ireland + we quickly had to find an alternative place to stay. Large,spotlessly clean house with comfortable beds.Close to the beach.Finnegan's small general store 5 mins drive away.There are some good places to eat out a short drive away.Suitable place for family/friends beach centred holiday and visiting Donegal town and surrounding area.

This is a great little stop off when we travelled the west coast of Ireland, the room was modern and clean had everything you would need when stopping off for a night in Donegal. The view from the balcony over the river was a great bonus plus there was a hot tub! Only a 2 minute walk to get into the town centre so easy access to pubs and restaurants. This was much better than a lot of 4 star hotels we stopped off at my journey through Ireland.

Spotless hotel, great room size and all beautifully decorated. Lots of little areas to sit both inside and outside, loved the fresh flowers dotted throughout. Breakfast was delicious- great selection for all tastes. Leisure facilities were super for our grandchildren and the adults alike. Convenient location within easy walking distance of Donegal town centre and easy driving to the beach etc . Would highly recommend

Stunning location within easy reach of Donegal Town. Such a treat to stay at the hotel and eat at Harvey’s Bar restaurant. The Lodge accommodation was comfortable but gave you access to the splendour of Harvey’s Point hotel.
