We were very fortunate to secure this booking and found the facilities to be first class and beautifully decorated. The location was perfect for our needs and was quiet, secure and handy to the start of the Wild Atlantic Way. Good on-site parking. The breakfast and other small touches were very much appreciated. Everything was perfect. Room lovely and comfortable. Bed and pillows superb! Magnificent breakfast and such pleasant, helpful staff BUT only thing was the person/people above us were so noisy :( Not a fault of the hotel or its lovely surroundings but took us ages to drop off. HOWEVER, little impact on our lovely stay. Thank you very much New Park. We'll be back :)

The owner Scott was very friendly and helpful. He carried my large bag up the stairs. The room was warm, clean and comfortable. The included breakfast in the cafe let you choose from the menu and was delicious. The town is around 35mins from Galway so you can easily visit there too.

Craughwell is an ideal stay cation with easy access to major...

Craughwell is an ideal stay cation with easy access to major highways. Galway is 20mins away, Clare coast 1hr. The town is small, has limited facilities, and is easily explored in 30mins, but as a b&b base for a 3 night stay, we found it ideal. There's a petrol station, pub, small resteraunt (open weekends), some shops, and a large Hotel serving food 1 mile away.

Craughwell itself can be reached by bus from Galway city.

Craughwell itself can be reached by bus from Galway city. This bus was not available from the railway station. You need to go elsewhere, but still close to the railway station to get a bus. Tickets may be purchased on the bus. The Craughwell bus stop is opposite the church there and you must tell the driver in advance where you want to alight. The screen inside the bus doesn't show locations. Craughwell offers nothing currently in 2024 for Solo Travellers without a car, in the evening sadly.
