The welcome and atmosphere. The rooms with ensuite were clean, spacious and beautiful decor. All the staff throughout were so friendly and nothing was a bother. We had an issue with our key lock and it was sorted quickly without fuss!

A beautiful tranquil place to say. The professionalism from all the staff was second to none. The food was absolutely lovely. The rooms were lovely and cosy. The bed was very comfortable. A big shout out to the night porter Shelly for her friendliness and work ethic, she really is a fantastic worker.

A lovely little market town with spectacular Cahir Castle...

A lovely little market town with spectacular Cahir Castle and Swiss Cottage, lovely river walks. Easy drive up into mountains, The Vee, Mount Melleray and Lismore Castle. Nearly Cashel and Clonmel. Lovely scenery.

Cahir is a charming historic town located in a beautiful part of Ireland. It is a 'must-visit' destination for any tourist, offering many attractions, including, but not limited to, a 13th-century castle that is open to the public. It is an excellent base from which to explore South Tipperary.

Town centre a bit tired but castle and river walk was very pretty. We parked at Swiss Cottage and walked into town (20 mins). Later tried Galileo restaurant for Italian/European - was good food but take your own alcohol. Had drinks in Cahir Hotel. Old, historical building with a good bar area and some seating outside. Found free street parking but there’s also a large car park.

Lovely people very friendly. A lot of historical venues. Calomel about 20 mins away. Would recommend Talbot Hotel. Great value. There are a variety of restaurants locally in Cahir. Easy access from Cork airport roughly about 55 minutes Must see V spectacular.

We stopped in Cahir (pronounced "Care") because it was a convenient layover on a longer road trip. We were surprised by the beautiful and interesting Cahir Castle on an island in the river, with its extensive grounds and well-kept interior. The town is small-ish and not what I would call "bustling". Several of the shops were closed (maybe permanently) and the choices for places to stay or dine are quite limited. All said, I would recommend a stop for the castle alone - if it's convenient to stay the night, the Cahir House Hotel (possibly the only choice) is adequate, though long in the tooth and missing the grandeur it must have once been known for, and its attached pub is decent. We were awakened by the early morning drop-off (emphasis on the "drop) of many kegs outside of the hotel and the one other functioning pub in town just across the way.

I liked the Castle.

I liked the Castle. We had dinner in Galiloes and the Galtee inn. There were a few places closed(as in most towns) Annswood was only 5 minutes drive away. We did a lot of hiking while we were there. There are loads of trails to follow. I would stay there again. Eleanor also does BnB in her house as another option.

Everything!!! it exceeded my expectations! The beautiful, cosy and very clean room with all amenities! Very tasty and varied breakfast - gluten free friendly place😊 It is a place absolutely peaceful and perfect to fully enjoy your staying here! Very close to the quite noisy Cahir - 5 min by car. So, you can enjoy your day in Cahir and go back to Annaswood B&B to get full rest and proper sleep in a quiet beautiful place! And the most important thing The Owners - warm-hearted and wonderful people 💖

Walking through the front door, you're met with such warmth (stove burning) and festive features. Greeted by such lovely staff. Megan and Patricia were fantastic hosts from start to finish, and all the rest of the staff were so accommodating and friendly. Our room was incredible and spacious. We had dinner in the hotel, and it was lovely, as well as breakfast, 5 stars overall.

The room was comfortable and clean and looked like the pictures shown. The staff were friendly and helpful from the moment I walked in and they went out of their way to help when I had a problem. The bar was very busy and had a good atmosphere. I would recommend this hotel. The town was also pretty with a castle and a church and a lovely river walk.

Deerbrook House B&B is located in the countryside a 10 minute drive from historic Cahir. The room was spacious, clean with a comfortable bed. The owners were welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was a good start to the day. We recommend staying at Deerbrook House B&B.
