Teach Hudí Beag is a fantastic pub, with excellent staff, the most wonderful traditional music sessions on Friday nights and (I think) Monday nights, and Irish the spoken language throughout. Caife Chití just opposite is the perfect place for breakfasts, salads, lunches. And the tours in nearly Croithlí distillery are both entertaining and informative --- the whiskey tastings are great too!!!!

Although only there for a short while Bunbeg has all the ingredients of the mystic west. The sunset was spectacular over the beach. Bád Eddie (Eddies boat) on Bunbeg's Magheraclogher beach, in Gaoth Dobhair (Gweedore) is a must see. The official story is that the boat was stranded on the beach but we heard from a good source that Eddie did it deliberately. He beached the boat in order to fit a new engine but he was going through a divorce and his wife asked for her share of the boat so he never repaired it.

Located by the sea with a beautiful view, Bunbeg is a small village, but offers places to eat and drink. It's very suitable for one or two nights. As the northernmost point for continuing your journey along the west coast, it's perfect.

Was very homely and extremely clean place . We were very happy about everything, handy places to go for dinner and the breakfast from owners was fantastic. Very friendly staff , served promptly and they went way beyond was expected. Very happy about stay we definitely will be back if we go again that part of donegal . This place deserves 5stars plus 🙏🙌. Thank you again for having us .

Everything. Fantastic location. Just lovely. Sarah is a great host and her lovely rascal of a beautiful dog Uisce is an added pleasure ✌️ Don't worry about research, Sarah provides a comprehensive guide on Donegal and all you need is there. We had peace and calm for 2 weeks and it was divine being in such a beautiful place, away from the noise and pollution of Dublin. 🕉️

My family had a great weekend at River Cottage. It's a great location to explore Donegal. My children enjoyed the swing outside and loved their large bedroom upstairs. There is a great view of Mount Errigal to enjoy from the dining room. I would recommend staying here and we will keep in mind for any future family trips to Donegal.

This is a very friendly family run hotel - now third generation with the Grandson of the original owner now in charge. Very friendly receptionist, whose name I have forgotten but she gives an excellent welcome. Well position on the Wild Atlantic Coast and ideal for exploring the region
