This is a lovely stately period hotel. It currently undergoing refurbishment but any disruption was minimal. It looks out over the River Lee and is very peaceful. Our room was spacious and nicely furnished with a river view. Parking was free and easy to access. The Restaurant meals were of a very high standard. The included self service continental breakfast was generous but we also ordered additional cooked breakfast from the menu. Nice choices. All the staff were very helpful and professional. Highly recommend.

Our host Majella was great to us. We biked the whole day and were hungry. We wanted to go out for dinner in the nearest pub but it was closed. Majella gave us a pizza to share. And about the appartement? A great place to stay there for at least a week!

Lovely village, took the ferry across to Sherkin island, had a fabulous time there. Only negative was the price of coffee in Jacobs bar. Ordered an americano , charged 4 euro in the very small take away cup. Mentioned the high price and I was told that I wouldnt get coffee anywhere else in Baltimore. Very off putting, rip off Ireland is alive and well. I don't get charged 4 euro in Dublin or elsewhere , really over priced and cheeky service. The Channel View BnB has lovely coffee with breakfast. Maybe some other establishments can start offering coffee...

The room was good. The prices are way too expensive. Some dishes in the restaurant were excellent, others not so. I had a steak which was so heavily salted I could not eat it. I drew their attention to it and was offered a free dessert!!! Hardly an adequate response.

I loved Baltimore.

I loved Baltimore. It was pretty and well kept , clean and very scenic. The walks were well signposted, the walk to the Beacon was a must . We found the local beach, an amazing place for a swim , equipped with life buoy . A friendly town with a real sense of authenticity.

Baltimore harbour was beautiful and wild during the storm when we arrived. The next day all was calm and sunny, so we enjoyed the village and it's very nice restaurants. The vegetarian pizza + fresh fish and chips in Jacobs was delicious. So was the burgers in the Algier Inn. There is even a 2 Michelin Star restaurant if you are foodie We hope to come back during the summer to go whale watching and explore Cape Clear.
