Kumbuh Jungle is a relaxing retreat surrounded by lush greenery. The sounds at dusk were truly unique—something we’d never heard before and quite magical. However, during the day, the constant noise from jungle creatures became a bit overwhelming. Our biggest disappointment was the lack of attention to cleanliness. The bed sheets were stained, windows hadn’t been cleaned in a while, and the outdoor swing was missing its mattress. For the high price, we expected better standards. Also, the toilet area could use a bit more privacy—a simple 50cm extension of the wall would make a big difference. Overall, the setting is beautiful, but there’s room for improvement in comfort and care.

The property is huge, really well developed, and nicely maintained. The new pool is done and looks amazing — it’s going to be such a great addition to the place. It’s right by the river, so you can constantly hear the water flowing — honestly one of the most peaceful sounds to wake up to. You can walk around and explore so many little corners of the property. If you love plants and animals, it’s a paradise. There’s always something new to spot. Even outside the property, the views are beautiful, and the locals are super friendly. The best part of my stay though was the host, Jro, and her family. They were incredibly kind and welcoming. I had a long chat with her husband — such an interesting guy, full of knowledge and great stories. The staff were also lovely — friendly, helpful, and clearly work really hard to make sure everything runs smoothly. I really enjoyed my time here and would definitely recommend it. If you stay, get a bike — it’s the best way to explore the town!

I stayed only 2 nights, could have stayed longer! The cottage is in excellent condition. The breakfast was so nice. The location is wonderful, peaceful enough. I personally walked everywhere and didn't need a motor vehicle. Of course, I only moved within walking distance from the accommodation. In order to be able to explore Sideman more, you would need a car or a scooter. There are warungs near the accommodation where you can get excellent food! There is also a laundry service only a couple of houses ahead on the same road that I found very good. Thank you very very much for being such a kind and helpful host! It was a big help that you even arranged a local driver for me that I could continue my trip.
