The place is far from village and offers privacy and isolation. The owner is doing a fabulous job in terms of keeping this place clean and active. He gave us some great tips on places to explore and was more than ready to customize the food being prepared as we were vegetarian.

Great location. Quality establishment, European owned, with owner and staff on site, particularly pre-dinner, to answer any Qs n discuss possible tours/activities etc. Also, great snorkelling straight off the beach through their front gate.
Facing the seafront, Sunset Moyo Bungalows is a homestay offering a 1-star accommodation in Moyo Island. It has a private beach area, garden and private parking.

Be advised, we went during low season, restaurant was closed, so no option for breakfast either. Drinks were only on the first night and the options close by are very limited. It's a lovely place to stay but it would've been nice to have at least a few options for drinks and food. And a heads up before arriving.
Rooms are basic but nice. The power shut off in the middle of the night, you sleep upstairs so it was boiling hot.
Overal we enjoyed ourselfs but will not return.

Staff were very friendly, welcoming & hospitable. The infinity pool was clean & good size for swimming.
Restaurant & poolside service for drinks & food was excellent 👍
Very friendly people in the village.
Visited the waterfalls on foot...very beautiful. Lots of butterflies and monkeys. Saw two wild bore and buffaloes as well as two snakes .
And Gun...our host kindly repaired my partner's favourite old rucksack and wouldn't accept any payments.

The water was sensational - warm, clear and clean, which in turn means fish and coral. The island has limited electricity which means limited refrigeration and wifi ( AND tourists, there were 15 when we where there) but that just added to the charm. The local villagers were extremely kind and their knowledge of their natural environment is generally encyclopaedic. This is an extremely special place and we were very lucky to have the opportunity to spend time there. Drop into the markets in Sumbawa before you go and load up on fresh fruit and vegies ( these are in limited supply on the island). Also take plenty of cash the other attraction of Mojo is no ATM or banking facilities. Take photos and leave footprints.
