Great location, less than 10 min walk from Tua Pejat Harbour and 15 min walk from Jati Beach. Close to warungs and local mart. Big comfy bed, hot water shower, good WiFi connectivity and AC in room. Recommended for a short stay.

Perfect location: right by a stunning beach, in the village so not too remote and not far from the harbour, yet quiet and relaxing. The room is nice and air conditioned with a comfortable bed, there’s a big terrace too. The lady who runs the place and her staff are exceptionally friendly, helpful and welcoming. They helped us with absolutely everything we needed and asked for.

We already stayed here twice and If you looking for clean, nice affordable Mentawai accommodation with very helpful staff, this is best place we could find around. So look no further! Fian and his family are amazing hosts! The beds are comfortable, linen very clean and smell nice (not too much of synthetic detergent and no damp smell, which is very common problems in many local guest houses). Food Suzy cook is very good also and you can request something to your liking as well! Just bring snacks if you coming for longer time and haven’t traveled in far away destinations of Indonesia as island does not have western food stores.

We stayed in the bungalow in the garden. The room was very nice and clean and everything was as expected and as seen on the pictures on booking.com. We felt really at home and very well taken care of. Also all our requests like renting a motorbike and transport to the harbour were arranged very quickly and very reliable. There was really nothing that could have been better. Our rating is a perfect 10. Thank you so much. We are happy to come again one day hopefully

The views were stunning, the staff were so helpfull and friendly. A great place to spend the week relaxing. I was drinking the clean tap water from the desalination system and had no issues which was a nice relief especially in Indonesia. The activities are great and the team is happy to take you anywhere you like to do stuff.

Amazing. All was amazing. Surf lessons, boat trip, the room, the team, all this stay was so good (and bahasa indonesian lessons obviusly), I can only recommended to stay here with James and his family !!!

We had an incredible stay at this hostel. A room right by the ocean, amazing local hospitality, and breakfast on the beach every morning. Everyone went above and beyond to make our 8-night stay unforgettable. From snorkeling activities and fish BBQs on the beach to scooter rentals, everything was perfect. We highly recommend staying at this hostel during your trip to the Mentawai Islands. A huge thank you to the entire team at Simagirau Hostel!
