Large room, very ckean, spacious bsthroom, all on the ground floor. Breakfast provided by host was a fresh cooked omlette with cheese tomato & salad in a torpedo roll with fresh coffee. Very filling. The view on the jungle and pond was incredible, the room was very nice and private, the staff was super nice and the food+ café was amazing! It was so peaceful and relaxing even if we just stayed 1 night. I strongly recommend!

We liked absolutely everything about this accommodation! It's a small hotel with only a few rooms, which makes it very personal and quiet. Chris the host lives directly in the first room and is always there for you if you need him! The room, as well as the bathroom, are large, very clean and absolutely fine. We felt very comfortable and would definitely come here again! However, what really made the hotel special was Chris. We had already read in previous reviews that he is a great conversationalist and gives excellent tips on beaches, restaurants and activities. Nevertheless, we were surprised HOW nice it was to talk to him! Sometimes we came back to the hotel from somewhere and spontaneously had a two-hour conversation with him. About God and the world. It was fantastic. We will definitely come back. Thank you Chris 🙏🏻 oh and you just walk 5-10 Minutes from there to a beautiful white sand beach! Chris even had a secret - and faster - way to get there 🤙🏻

Padang bai is a transit town for the ferries.

Padang bai is a transit town for the ferries. There are plenty of eateries around. The beach is unfortunately littered with rubbish and stray dogs roam around. It’s not somewhere to stay for long. There is a dive centre so it might be good for that, but for me as a general tourist I wouldn’t take a holiday here. I just stayed for the fast boats.

Padangbai took me back in time to the Bali of old.

Padangbai took me back in time to the Bali of old. Its quite rustic and primitive looking in parts. Most of the restaurants are quite old. We only ate at our hotel OK Divers Resort, where the restaurant and food was very good. NIce place to visit but only a couple of days at most.

Contrary to some reviews of Padangbai being a dodgy back...

Contrary to some reviews of Padangbai being a dodgy back water town, we found it to be a hidden gem. Lovely beaches and good places to swim and snorkel. Much smaller than I anticipated and far less humbug and mass tourism than other parts of Bali. Would definitely recommend staying here a couple of days, especially if catching an onward boat to other islands in Indonesia.

There is a photo of Padang Bai in the right upper corner of this page. I wonder where it was taken because Padang Bai does not look anything like that! Padang Bai is a bussy port and the beach is not suitable for swimming! This is not a place to spend holidays.

Amazing location close to the harbour to take the boat to Gili islands. We checked in almost 3am in the morning because our flight got delayed and they were very comprehensive about it, Excelent breakfast, the owner is so helpful and kind. amazing rooms for only one or 2 nights. I strong recommend this place.

We thought we might need a night to stop over before getting...

We thought we might need a night to stop over before getting the boat onto the Gili islands but in hindsight we could have done it all in the same day. There is not much happening here so I do not recommend staying long, there are some nice cafes to chill at if you are here. There appears to be some diving schools if that is what you are looking for. Recommend Omang Omang restaurant and bar for nightlife, good food options and bands playing.

We stayed here before tacking the ferry to Lombok. The location is perfect as it is close to the port. The rooms are spacious and clean, and they have a good view of the bay. The breakfast is great with many options. Staff is very kind and helpful, they helped with the transfer to the hotel and also gave us all the information and different boat options to go to Lombok. Highly recommend this place to stay in Padang Bai!

Beautiful scenic,peaceful location surrounded by nature.Our room had a balcony that overlooked Padangbai and the surrounding hills and had a relaxing traditional Balinese vibe with modern amenities.My partner and I only stayed one night en route from Gilli T, but would have gladly extended our stay,time permitting. Great hotel very close to Padangbai Pier for fast boat transfers to the Gili islands and Lombok. We only stayed for one night but we really liked the place. The owner kindly arranged for a driver to pick us up from the airport for 450k which is good value.

We loved the rooms and views, the relaxed vibe of the hotel. The food was excellent and the pool was wonderful. The shallow section was so good for my toddler and the older kids loved the water slide. We’re already planning to come back again!
