A secluded paradise in the midst of the ricefields with a splendid view to the valley below. The rooms were roomy and the outdoor terasse was nice. The staff was so friendly, smiling and helpful, you truly feel welcome amongst the Lesong family. I would definately recommend this to anyone who is visiting this area.

Perfect place. Here are only 4 vilas so its very silent, privacy is at max level. Staff is great and will help you with motorbikes, massages. Breakfast is tasty as well. I do not want to leave this place :)

It deserves ***** instead of four. I really do not understand why it has only four stars. The rooms are spacious, well designed, comfortable with magnificent jungle and ocean views. We practically got a flat. The amenities are awesome. There is a big variety of real teas. The minibar is full of different kinds of drinks (from whisky to champagne…, chocolate and beer). There is room cleaning twice a day! Bose portable audio device plays your songs or that they suggest you, it is up to you. It is far from overcrowded. You can find real solitude. The hot tub and the pool are not big, but are enough and have a scenic view to the mountains and the ocean. Free jungle tour is offered every morning with a nice guide. They offer several tour options if you need some. The staff is very friendly. The restaurant is very good and has a modern style.

Umah Lusa is a credit to those who envisioned it, created it and work every day to ensure the highest standards of genuine hospitality. The setting is spectacular; an almost heavenly hilltop aspect, seemingly above the clouds and a world away from the tourist crowds. The views over the hills towards the sea, the stunning pool, and the beautiful gardens are just the start. The stand-alone rooms are quietly luxurious, well-appointed and extremely comfortable. The in-house massage was excellent, and the steam room and sauna were a welcome addition. The restaurant setting is sublime at any time of day, and we enjoyed everything we tried from the extensive menu, which offers both local flavours and Western options, all done very well. However, the highlight of our stay was the staff who went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. Their welcoming smiles and genuine engagement were a sheer delight and will live long in our memories of this stunning property.

Perfect place if you want to explore a more natural, authentic and less touristy Bali. The surroundings are absolutely stunning and there are so many villages with different things to do. Would definitely recommend munduk’s waterfall walk and Eco Cafe 2! Worth a visit for at least 3 days if you’re into outdoor activities

Our stay at Manduk modern plantation was amazing. The most welcoming and friendliest staff I’ve ever had. Making you feel right at home! The property is so beautiful and the views from the restaurants and the room was incredible :) Great sized rooms and very private. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting a break from the coast :)

Temperature (around 18-19 degrees celcius in the evening) and beautiful countryside and vegetation - many waterfall walks available (although quite tourist heavy). Beautiful area and totally different to the various beach spots of Bali.

The area around Munduk is very hilly so it is good to be prepared for this if doing a lot of walking. If you don’t have your own wheels, you are mostly reliant on local transport/drivers,to get to a number of attractions in the area. We enjoyed a visit to the Lakes and the Botanical Gardens which were very peaceful. Walking the 5 local waterfalls from Golden Valley was a highlight, which took us most of the day. Next time I would go on the canoes on Tamblingan Lake. It looked like fun.

For my money, Munduk and other areas of North Bali, are the...

For my money, Munduk and other areas of North Bali, are the places to visit if you are looking for an authentic Bali experience, lacking in over-crowdedness and offering simply what the South can no longer offer: unhurried, unobstructed and authentic natural beauty and kindness, the kind that was maybe present 40 years ago in the South, when I last visited. If you are into nature that is not over infrastructured, this might be your place too. Because it is remote, it will lack Grab and other conveniences but that is the price we pay for being early to a place. Let's hope it stays this way forever. I know the locals hope so too.

Driving around the Munduk area gave me some of the most...

Driving around the Munduk area gave me some of the most stunning views of all the places I have visited in Bali. I love the countryside of Sideman, the Jungles of Ubud, and the hills and mountains of Candidasa, but the hill and mountain experience of Munduk just blew me away. Next time I will return for more than one night, and do some trekking and Waterfalls.

The view was the best we had in Bali, Munduk itself is quiet and small and you can't walk anywhere but you don't need to when at this hotel. Very beautiful, very clean and lovely staff (comfiest bed on the whole trip). I would recommend including breakfast and dinner when you book unless you would like to get a taxi each night you stay. This was the only place we stayed that had a heated pool as well which was amazing we loved our stay here.

This property is exceptional. The service and friendliness of the staff makes me want to go back to Munduk Moding Plantation again. We got the Dadem Tree Room, which had its own jacuzzi with a secluded view of the plantation. It was great. A bit on the pricier side, as we booked last minute, but worth all of the 3 days we stayed there. Wish we had more time to spend there. All the facilities were great.
