Owner of property was so kind and welcoming, really made me feel at home. The view from the room was unreal. Room was clean and bed was comfy. Before leaving Anan the host invited me to plant coffee plants in his garden so that we could share a cup when I return. Such a wholesome stay would definitely recommend! Thanks Anan

Excellent location - close to the jungle and waterfalls Very nice and helpful host - he picked us up from the airport, helped with the transfer to the port, took us by scooter near the waterfalls, took care of our child during the hike Excellent food prepared by the host's wife - we ate breakfast, lunch and dinner. Large portions and excellent flavors - curry chicken, fried rice with egg, fried fish. Plus coffee, tea and water. Delicious banana pancakes for the child Very nice surroundings - a garden around the house, a small but pleasant swimming pool, rice fields, banana forests and surrounding towns full of stalls and various products I recommend for 3-4 days to see the waterfalls and go to the beach or see the volcanic crater. We stayed for 2 days, but we didn't see everything. The host will definitely help organize everything

Most friendly hosts I have ever met. Anang (the host) speaks fluent dutch which was a pleasant surprise. He and his family are unbelievable kind and will treat you as family. I got the opportunity to go to their local school and even got to hand out some diplomas:) Hero is a really smart guy who showed me around for the two days I was there. He is super kind and really hard working. Thank you guys! Highly recommend going there!

If you are looking to visit waterfalls in the area this is your place! There’s nothing better than immersing yourself in the atmosphere of the mountains, a lush forest and the soothing sound of the water running down the river below. Pondok Rio is a real experience. You’ll feel like in a fairytale. Beautiful little wooden cottages, with a lot of attention to details. Surrounded by ponds with koi fishes and lotus flowers. A beautiful garden with tropical plans and flowers surrounds the property. Your own kitchen, if you wish, and a beautiful lounge area with internet, big tv screen and sound system. Tegu, the owner, is really kind and friendly, even though he doesn’t speak English. His friend came along to make sure we could communicate. They have breakfast included. Tegu’s friend will show up in the morning with a really tasty nasi goreng and bananas for a mid morning snack. We were set to go chase waterfalls! Thank you Tegu, we’ll be back!

Pondok Inggris is part of a wonderful foundation where young local students learn hospitality and especially English. They are absolutely adorable — polite, intelligent, funny, and always caring. Every morning they bring you a freshly prepared breakfast exactly when you want it, together with delicious Lombok coffee. If you like, you can even join them in the kitchen and help — it feels like being part of a big family! They also organize great tours — from visiting nearby waterfalls to even hiking Mount Rinjani! The students will happily take you on their scooters and show you the beauty of Lombok from a local perspective. I warmly recommend Pondok Inggris to anyone who wants more than just a place to sleep — it’s an inspiring and heartwarming experience you’ll never forget. Good price-quality accommodation, modest but warm. The host just opened his homestay, and we were warmly welcomed by his family with tea and a local snack. The accommodation is located near a small village, close to waterfalls, and the way there is a real treat driving through the rice fields of Lombok. Perfect location for a budget-friendly traveller who wants a local experience and escape the high-season crowds in Tetebatu.

we planned to spend 4 nights in the bungalow and extended one more because we liked it so much!! The bungalow has been amazing and the location was perfect surrounded by many rice fields. Muni was so nice and showed us around. He took us to his family to roast coffee in the traditional way and showed us how to make coconut oil. When he visited his friends or family we were always welcome to join. The time we spent was not enough and we would have loved to spend more time in Lombok at Munis beautiful bungalows. Thanks for the wonderful time muni!
