You know how people only ever write a review when an experience was either truly bad or exceptionally good. Well, this review will be an exceptionally good one. It was our first time in Raja Ampat, let alone Indonesia. Eddo Homestay was our first accommodation and we had low expectations from what we generally read about accommodations in Raja Ampat and because it was a newly built place with few reviews. However, our expectations were exceeded. The first thing I wanna highlight is the hospitality, kindness and service of all the staff there. I especially want to mention Acho, the guy who manages the Homestay and took care of anything we needed. The first two days we were the only two guests at the Homestay and had the best experiences. Acho personally went snorkeling with us at Yenbuba Jetty, took us to a Sandbank, to Sauwandarek Village and Arborek. He was pretty much our personal guide and we enjoyed every single minute of it. He went above and beyond to fulfill all our "wishes" / requests, no matter what it was about (excursions, food, more data for our sim card, etc.). He would also always sit with us for every meal, talk to us, share about life in Indonesia. It was like hanging out with your older brother. They also tried their best to offer a variety of different foods each day. For breakfast we had toast, fried eggs, pancakes, Nutella, jam, cheese and one day (upon our request) even Avocado. For lunch and dinner it's mostly rice but always with either fish, meat, vegetables, salad, etc. And always delicious. Our highlight were the chocolate chip cornflakes with cold fresh milk though. The cabins were very spacious with a double bed and mosquito net, a couch, a little closet area with hangers and a fan. The bathroom was huuuge and beautifully designed. Each cabin has a terrace with two lounge chairs where we mostly hung out. We had everything we needed. The entire place was very clean, the cabins, the restaurant, everything.

The house reef, you can spend hours there , just be carfull with current. The clarity of the water.The owner or Pol will organize all the excursions, very professionals. You can walk trough the jungle and get to another amazing Dive/ snorkeling spot called Sauwandarek, great jetty and wall. The room are basic but very clean, confortable matress and pillows. They do your room daily. Right on the water,the best sunset view directly from your room. The shared bathrooms are clean 3 times per day , there is a pipe used as shower and a bucket for the toilet flush. The food is very good and it served a buffet in the nice restaurant overlooking the ocean...big tables so easy to make friends. If you have allergy they will accomodate you, I am gluten free and the lady will cook separetly for me.The house dogs, I love it! I regret for ever to went to another island , I should have spent all my nights there! This property is under rated...it is very nice and have great prices.

We had a truly unforgettable romantic getaway at this jungle retreat! The room was spacious, beautifully designed, and blended seamlessly with nature, offering a cozy and intimate atmosphere with all the amenities we needed. The view from our room was absolutely breathtaking, surrounded by lush greenery and the sounds of the jungle—perfect for enjoying quiet moments together. Breakfast was a highlight, featuring a wonderful variety of fresh, local options amidst the tranquil jungle setting. We had a wonderful stay at Frances, what a exklusive and luxurios place. Just 2 wonderful and huge huts in great design, right on top of the reef and in the middle of wonderful original Kurkapa Village. Very friendly staff, excellent food (delivered by the kids of the family right to our huge terrace). What more can you ask for - an island paradise, with a wonderful house reef right in front of the hut. Lots of fishes and sharks living there. Hopefully we´ll be back soon! Katrin & Markus

We had an amazing stay at Gibran guest house! The bungalows are amazing on top of the water, the area is full of incredible snorkeling spots, and the trip proposed are very nice with a lovely team ! Mimi & Julia are amazing :D

Turtle was our best homestay on entire vacation. Hut is so nice and food is amazing. People where very kind. They have a kus kus who comes for bananas in the night that was the best thing ever ! That small bear is so cuuuuuutee !

This homestay is run by capable, friendly and helpful people. You can observe a beautiful sunset from here (there even is an almost horizontal palm tree growing out over the water right next to it). Food was among the best I had in Raja Ampat.
