From the moment we arrived at the airport to the very last day of our stay, the team at Bleu Mathis ensured everything was seamless and perfectly taken care of. From drivers, to boatmen, to masseuse to the hospitality staff, the whole team has gone way and beyond our expectations. The staff’s warmth and efficiency stood out—always quick to serve and going above and beyond to make us feel welcome. A special shoutout to Khairul for taking my cousin and me on a memorable kayaking trip while making sure we felt completely safe and comfortable throughout. Another huge thank you to Ifan for his attentive care, helping us assimilate to the resort from day one right until check-out. Though we didn’t catch all their names, the entire team was incredibly friendly and genuinely warm. Bleu Mathis truly knows how to make guests feel at home—thank you for such a wonderful experience! We will definitely be back!

Beautiful and peaceful location right on the beach. Lovely staff and very friendly. The food was delicious. Easy access to snorkeling and kayaks. Anything could be arranged including boat transport to and from the island. It's the only resort on the island with a pool. We had a private pool in our two bedroom villa which was amazing. There are no cars or scooters on the island so no pollution or motor noises. No hawkers or any shops/ATM Highly recommended for a relaxing stressfree holiday.

Our family had a lovely relaxed time at Vayam Boutique Resort. We stayed 2 bed rooms cottage, it was very cozy and we love the large veranda. I enjoyed yoga in the yoga Shala with mats provided. We had great swimming in front of resort, easy walk to snorkelling spots and we really enjoyed island tour by speed boat from vayam. Staff were friendly and accommodating,my kids really love them!

This is definitely one of the best highlights of our trip to Indonesia. We found this place while we were running away from the most famous Gili T (disaster experience), and luckily this happened! This place is pure magic. The staff is really awesome, kind and extremely helpful. Despite all the other hotels we visited in Indonesia, this one was extremely clean, with an attention to the details that reminds us a 5 stars hotel. You can have delicious lunches and dinners at their place, with a fair variety of food. You can snorkelling in front of the hotel seeing blue corals and different kind of fish (masks and rock shoes are freely available at the property). Highly recommended the snorkelling in the close islands, that despite the touristic attraction of Gili T with dead corals, boat gasoline in the air and huge masses of people, will bring you in completely empty, little and white sanded islands having the opportunity to see variety of fish, sea stars, sea horses and corals (the picture refers to this). Perfect place if you want to retreat yourself, take time to relax and stay away from the chaos. We definitely want to go back to Alam Karang in the future. The staff will definitely be part of us forever: mimpi manis.

A brand new hotel with bungalows, very good location seaside, easy access. The nice sandy beach is clean. We enjoyed the breakfast, the view on the Gillis, the comfort, and, more than everything, the staff who is always ready to inform you, help you, and give good advises for your stay. Don't miss the snorkeling tour they offer at a good price, it's a must do: you will spend a full day going from one great snorkeling spot to another on a fisherman boat. Enjoyable and you won't forget it. Highly recommended.

I had the pleasure of staying at Pelangi Homestay with a friend and we were blown away by the experience. The owners are incredibly welcoming and lovely, and Zuria, in particular, is an absolute delight. She is sweet, friendly, and cooks the most delicious food! We were lucky enough to go on two snorkeling trips during our stay, one of which was with Zuria's dad who is just as kind as his daughter. We also had the opportunity to explore the islands of Gili Nanggu and Kedis with Anton, a very nice man who showed us around and engaged us in interesting conversations. The homestay itself is impeccably clean and the atmosphere is fantastic. It's the perfect place to relax and unwind after a day of exploring the islands. We cannot recommend Pelangi Homestay enough! Thank you 💛

Incredibly kind staff, amazing food and we were lucky enough to meet the owner who was very helpful during our stay, merci beaucoup ! Room and bathroom were very clean. The beach beautiful and calm, we had so much fun kayaking. Very lucky to have stayed here for our last night in Lombok !

If you want to go to a remote island with beautiful beach,...

If you want to go to a remote island with beautiful beach, friendly locals and fantastic snorkeling, this is for you. However, the infrastructure is quite limited - water is brought in and electricity comes from generators and solar - so don't expect luxury. The workers on the island all do their best to ensure you have a comfortable and authentic stay. The roosters and the call to prayer make the island a challenging place to get a good night's sleep, but you can always nap by the beach.

Gili Asahan is so laid back. The staff were so welcoming

Gili Asahan is so laid back. The staff were so welcoming The food was delicious and so was the coffee! Sleeping in a Bale was fabulous and the bed was super comfy. I didn't bother with the blinds, just slept under the mosquito nets The horse walk is a lovely experience 🐎 Would recommend Gili Asahan Eco Lodge 💜

Not the best island I have been too.

Not the best island I have been too. Was quite hot with no air conditioning or tv. But was good to do without. Internet only available around the resteraunt. Because there was not much to do most people spent thier time on the internet. The italian resteraunt in the other hotel was crap. The biggest deterrent to most travellers was the amount of plastic floating around in the beaches. Not the fault of the hotel.

This sea water is quite clear with very little plastic. The water is heavenly, with quiet seas because of it’s location. The hotel we stayed at was on the Lombok side of the island, so the seas were calm, and often still like a lake. This area feels quite remote, and you won’t see many if any tourists when you are boating around. So there is a sense of seclusion and being in a remote location. This would be a nice area to take a sailboat if you can find one to rent. They will be increasing the number of fast boats scheduled to go to this area soon, so that it’s faster to go direct to Gili Gede from Bali every day, instead of the twice weekly (Monday and Friday) schedule available now. We had to take a fast boat to Bengsal and drive 2 1/2 hours because we booked our hotel on a Saturday instead of Friday, not knowing that we couldn’t just get a fast boat direct to Gili Gede any day but Monday and Friday. There are only 4 places to stay on the island at this time, and we stayed at Amahelia, which is by far the nicest. Someone from Belgium is building a really nice resort on this island that will have 20 villas with private pools, we heard. It is still under construction. Gili Asahan is definitely worth adding to your list of places to go for a quiet, remote and peaceful trip, with wonderful seas to swim and boat in.
