The owner, Moses, completely took care of us from a to z. He organised delicious meals for us every day and went out of his way to organise the activities we wanted to do. He took us to the local market, to his other hotel in on badjawa, to the hot springs, a local waterfall and more! Rarely have we been so welcomed anywhere. He is completely fluent in English and was patient with our questions about the local area and people. Thank you Moses! The hotel is off the beaten tourist path and you are staying in a real local Floresian village. The locals are so friendly! The location on the beachfront is amazing too and you can snorkel straight off the beach. We made a last minute decision to stay here instead of in Badjawa and we didn't regret it for a second. Much nicer to be in the countryside in the calm where you can do everything that you can do from the town anyway. We didn't want to leave!

The cottages are brand new and exactly as shown in the pictures and very close to Bena village in an amazing area. The owner is really nice and helpful, she helped us arrange the pick up from Aimere and the bike rental. Also, they offer several dining options and the food is really good. If you come to this area, stay here!!

Hotel very calm, and very friendly ! We felt like at home. A wonderful team managed by à very kind woman, Who tries always to do her best to satisfy customers. Breakfast is gorgeous, homemade : omelette, green pancakes filled with coconut, fresh fruits... etc She put us in touch with local drivers to visit very beautiful places all aroud Bajawa. I recommend !

Johannes (the host) is very helpful and always around. The banana pancake breakfast with fresh fruit is delicious and they are flexible with the time (for example after you hike mt Inerie). The room was clean and very spacious and our private bathroom had a hot shower with good pressure! Several restaurants in 1-3 minutes walking distance.

The location was absolutely stunning. No wonder the restaurant is called Heaven’s Door. The bungalow was amazing. Large bed, another bed on the veranda to curl up on in the Evenings or mornings to watch the sunrise. Lovely bathroom. The staff were great and more than happy (Jimmy) to ferry us up to the wonderful eclectic reception/restaurant and back. Even had one impromptu night of Ryan and Jimmy jamming (guests included if you want!) fabulous fun evening. The best. Yep, it’s the Jungle and there are critters but how often do you have a praying mantis as a room mate? Idyllic and would have no hesitation wholeheartedly recommending.

Rooms are relatively standard, medium-sized with comfortable, larger beds, small, ensuite bathroom, large windows, and with small desks and limited storage space. The electrical and wifi are good. Basic breakfast is included. The big plus at this place is the building itself, with huge, showy terraces loaded with character furniture and with fantastic views at the back, probably one of the best places to hang out in town. Very friendly and helpful staff. Hotel is set outside of town, on the main island highway, and next to the road that runs south to the traditional villages. So the location could be an advantage, depending on your plans. Scooter rental is available here.
