Where to start! This was our first stay in Lombok after coming from the Gili Islands. We were welcomed with open arms by the staff and offered a free welcome drink (we chose coffee). The place is just fantastic ✨ , the energy, the vibe, and the beautiful garden in front of the rooms. Thanks to Mr. Gardener, it looks fresh and vibrant every day 🌷. The room was super comfy and spacious, and the shower had hot water as well. You can also get food there we had the most delicious omelette ever 😋. They also organize trips, such as hiking to Mount Rinjani or day trips to visit waterfalls and rice fields. In the evenings, we sat down with the local staff while one of them played the guitar, and we all sang together — a true highlight of the trip. I was very grateful to meet the boys who worked there; they are simply the best. They even picked fresh mangoes for us from the tree up high! A huge thank you to Riip, Riadi, Acip, and Mr. Gardener for spending such a beautiful evening with us. This is one of those places you’ll always want to come back to 💚.

Staying here felt like coming home after wandering for a long time and not knowing where I truly belonged. I stayed here for a little less than a week and I wish I could have stayed longer... The location is excellent, providing easy access to the Waterfalls and Mount Rinjani. Also the rooms were just newly renovated and are big nice and clean. However, what truly makes this place special are the wonderful people who work here. The owner and her staff went above and beyond to show and guide me to so many beautiful hidden spots that I would never have discovered as a typical traveller. They even went as far and go Camping with me, just because i wanted to take some night time pictures!!! All of the staff have become dear friends to me, and I genuinely can’t wait to come back and see everyone again! If you're looking for a place to stay in senaru, this is it! You won’t regret it!

Staying at Rudy Trekker Guest House was the perfect start to my Rinjani adventure. From the moment I arrived, the staff went out of their way to make me feel welcome and well cared for. The check-in was smooth, and they immediately helped me prepare for my trek with clear explanations, tips, and a genuine concern for my safety and comfort. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and quiet — exactly what you need before taking on a challenging hike. The hot shower and air conditioning were a blessing, and the bed gave me a truly restful night’s sleep. Their restaurant serves delicious local food, and the pool with jungle views is a wonderful bonus to relax before or after trekking. What impressed me most, however, was the hospitality and thoughtfulness of the team. They made sure I had everything I needed, patiently answered all my questions, and checked that I felt confident and safe before starting the climb. I never felt like just another guest; I felt genuinely looked after. If you’re planning to trek Rinjani, I can’t recommend Rudy Trekker enough. Their warmth, professionalism, and care for both guests and the mountain make them stand out in every way.

I had such a lovely stay at Rumah Kawan House of Friends! The family who runs it is incredibly welcoming and made me feel right at home from the moment I arrived. The room was clean, comfortable, and had all the necessities for a relaxing stay. It was the perfect home base for the Rinjani Trek. This was one of the best places I’ve stayed in my many months of travelling and definitely the best value for money. The rooms and bathrooms were so clean and beautiful and the balcony view was incredible. The delicious (and large) free breakfast is also delivered to your balcony. Comfortable beds, A/C and a hot shower. The owners were so friendly, going out of their way to make sure all my needs were catered for. Two of the young guys there also took me to the waterfall last minute which was really fun! The place is situated next door to the waterfalls entrance and restaurants and is a perfect place to stay after the challenging Rinjani hike (or if you’re just visiting Seranu). Thank you again for a beautiful stay!
