Johannes the owner and Ignacius (his nephew I believe) were incredibly friendly, helpful, and welcoming for our whole stay. We were in a room with a shared bathroom. All of the facilities were kept very clean, our room was very comfortable, there was drinking water, coffee and tea available any time of day, and the breakfast provided in the morning was delicious, the best pancakes we've had in Indonesia. The location is very convenient, close to all of the good restaurants. It's easy to organize a scooter rental to get around (we rented one from Ignacius) or organize transport to your next destination. We did an early morning hike up to Inerie volcano with Ignacius as our guide. He was an incredible guide and the hike was amazing and well worth it if you're willing to get up before 2am and fit enough to hike ~3hrs up (similar back down). The price for our room was unbeatable. Ignacius and Johannes went above and beyond with everything, highly recommend!

We really enjoyed our stay at Benabilla Cottage. The host, Ichan, was wonderful, super friendly and helpful. The service was amazing and the location was perfect to explore all the highlights around Bajawa, like the Iniri volcano, the hot springs and the traditional village. We’d definitely recommend staying here!

It’s a beautiful location, quiet and away from all the other tourists. Perfect to get to know the local life. Wonderful waterfall and hot springs around the area. What’s not to like? You get a huge bungalow, a wonderful view of Gunung Inerie, and the yummiest food served at their restaurant. The view from the restaurant when you step out onto the verandah is drop-dead gorgeous - leaving no doubt as to why the place is called Heaven’s Door. The owner, Marselino, helped us solve all the problems, except renting the locomotive, changing the locomotive for us when the locomotive broke down during the trip, helping us with the guide for climbing the Inerie mountain, contacting Ruteng for a chartered car, and also because we just happened to encounter continuous holidays.
