We had a great time at Hotel Napsugar. The hotel team is kind and helpful, they went out of their way to sort out an issue with our reservation and check out time, we didn’t even have to ask. Everyone was courteous and service was excellent. The hotel is right next to the well maintained central beach, we could walk over in 3 minutes carrying everything needed, and those who did not want to stay out all day could simply pop back to the hotel anytime. It suited all 3 generations and made our stay flexible and such really relaxed. The hotel has its own restaurant, parking and the rooms were clean and comfortable, all air conditioned. The continental breakfast was good quality and offered a good selection.

Staff were absolutely amazing. Very helpful & kind. Incredibly knowledgeable about the local area. When we seen them in the village, they stopped, said hello and recommended a restaurant for us. Very pleasant people. The room was spotless and had everything we needed in it. The facilities in the hotel were phenomenal, the pool was very needed! Breakfast was delicious, had a continental selection as well as a selection of hot food to be ordered. Location of this B&B was very good. Less than 1km to a very good Lake viewpoint. The village has a selection of restaurants and shops for everything you could possibly need. We will definitely be back if we’re ever nearby!

Lake Balaton is always worth a visit.

Lake Balaton is always worth a visit. In all the years I've been here, it's rarely rained a drop! And when it did, it was pleasant. Children are very welcome here. The water isn't deep and it's warm. I'd say it's the best place to learn to swim. 🥰

Balatonmáriafürdő is a very pleasant holiday resort on Lake Balaton. It's not overrun with tourists, nor is it lacking in them. This means a decent selection of restaurants at reasonably fair prices. There's a large, pleasant beach, a boat and ferry dock, and plenty of good opportunities to explore the area by bicycle.

We were there at the end of August/beginning of September.

We were there at the end of August/beginning of September. That was already in the off-season, so we can only comment on that. Restaurants, shops, and the beach were still open. Although everything was only about 200-300 meters away, it was very quiet for us. So, if you're looking for peace and relaxation, this is the place for you.

The day beach was very clean and well-maintained. The prices of food and drinks were very disappointing. The food at the restaurants was poor by Hungarian standards. A few kilometers outside the village, the meals were better prepared and more reasonably priced.

A quiet, family-friendly place, a beautiful, modern beach. A promenade, several restaurants. The ice cream at Florida Ice Cream Parlor is delicious, you shouldn't miss it. It's basically for those who like peace and quiet, don't want big crowds, but you don't have to be bored either, because in good weather it's a pleasant pastime to be on the beach and there are also cruises departing from the harbor every hour. The seating areas are cozy.
