We were so very happy with our stay at Roxanich so thank you! So happy for this find! We thoroughly enjoyed our time there—the setting is stunning, and every detail felt special. The entire team was not only extremely helpful but also wonderfully knowledgeable about the wines, which made our experience even richer. We were there for a special occasion, and the hotel truly spoiled us—Thankyou so much for the care and generosity. We spent time lounging by the pool and soaking in the beautiful surroundings—it was pure relaxation. The wine was exceptional (we especially loved the sparkling!), and the breakfast was just perfect. We can’t wait to come back!

It was a phenomenal stay and Lorena was a marvelous host. Everything was awesome from the welcoming drink and homemade breakfast to the room facilities and view. The balcony view of our room was extraordinary any time of the day in any weather, and I wouldn't trade it for anything. The transportation by Lorena and her husband to and from the parking place right outside the town was very considerate and necessary - it was impossible for most non-natives to handle the town paths. The truffle-hunting experience followed by a white truffle lunch in the house's garden was sensational. I will surely come back again the next time I visit Motovun.

We had a wonderful stay at Prospect Motovun Studio. The apartment was beautiful, cozy, and perfectly located just next to Motovun, with amazing views of the surroundings. Great little town to walk around in. Great local wineries. Amazing local fruit stand as you make your way up the hill. He had the best selection of the most wonderful fruit and veggies. The ice cream was fantastic. Sampling of truffles and local alcohol without being pressured was amazing. Just fantastic hospitality overall shown by the locals.

Motovun is a wonderful place full of history and unique charm, though travelers should know that almost all of the restaurants and bars are closed during the month of February. In February it resembles a ghost town.

Beautiful ancient town with much to see and lots of great restaurants and shops. Not great for people with mobility issues of any kind. The walking is a bit of a workout. Very steep hills and cobblestone roads. Parking seems to be an issue.

Motovun is a charming and almost fairy-tale like village on a hill. We felt like we had completely gone back in time; yet, we had easy access to almost all of the rest of Istria from there, including seaside towns, wine tasting, truffle hunting, olive oil tasting and local shopping. The furthest town was Pula. Everything else was more like 30 minutes. We are spending two weeks in Croatia and we are so thankful we spent three days/nights in Motovun as our hub for visiting Istria. Heads up: it is a lot of uphill walking on cobblestones to get into the center of town - but SO worth it.

Great place for lovers of medieval hill-top towns and truffles. One can enjoy just a stroll through the town and views of surroundings for an hour, can have a great dining experience or stay for days and explore Istria, one of the prettiest and welcoming places on earth. "Medieval" and "hill-top" also mean that you walk a lot on rugged cobblestone, you walk uphill and climb stairs, and "great place" means it's crowded in the high season (summer). Still, one of the better places to escape to from crowded coastal towns, focused primarily on visitors' wallets.

A classic medieval town that was so fun to explore. Be sure to visit the cathedral (opened about 10 during our visit) and (carefully) climb the bell tower for a spectacular view of the valley and beyond. We visited in late October when some businesses had closed for the season and others were winding down. We would visit again in September.

This beautiful old house is in a good location in Motovun and has its own parking place down on the main road. It has an aesthetic that feels comfortable enough and relaxed. Many of the structural parts of the original old house are still visible and give the interior character. There is a little patio at the back, off the bedroom floor, which is nice for breakfast. The kitchen is well enough equipped. The bed is comfortable. The communication with the host was helpful and friendly, giving all the instructions necessary for easy self check-in.

The Yellow House is a beautiful and stylish two-story apartment in the magical medieval town of Motovun. The apartment is in a quiet location, perfectly clean, fully equipped - it has everything you need in the kitchen, bathroom and bedroom. Perfect communication with the owner.An ideal place to relax and enjoy the nearby restaurants and cafes with amazing views, food and drinks. There are nice beaches near the town of Novigrad within half an hour. I recommend it to those who want to experience something really special.

Beatiful hotel, with very nice equipped and clean rooms. The hotel has everything you need and enough space for parking in the underground garage, which can be reached by elevator for cars. The hotel is located in Motovun on a very magical spot with a stunning view. The little and charming city Motovun offers an old town to stroll around and some very good "konobas". The perfect place for couples.

Just the best views out across the valley from the balcony and bedroom windows, great apartment, comfy bed, useful air conditioning on hot nights. Super friendly and very helpful hosts. Just to note that there is no freezer compartment in the fridge and you will be aware of road noise, but it is not intrusive. We loved our stay at Bella Vista and Motovun
