My 4th stay here, so I can only repeat: I have been traveling in Croatia since many years - meanwhile in all 21 counties (županije incl. Zagreb) - and I must have stayed in more than 30 different guesthouses and hotels. From the smallest family pension in the countryside to large 4-star hotels. And the Boutique Hotel Vela Vrata was one of my very best experiences ever! :D Beautiful, lovely decorated house and very clean room with nice furniture. This time I treated myself to the Junior Suite with balcony and the large room with its beautiful antique mirror is really a hit! Very friendly staff, SUPER breakfast with fresh and high quality food from a large selection!!! :D Well working WiFi, free parking and I also like the big indoor pool very much. Buzet itself is very romantic and beautiful. This time I have stayed for two nights on my way home to Dalmatia. The Hotel has a really supreme restaurant and it was wonderful to eat again one of the best dinner I had ever in Croatia. Another perfect stay and I will quite sure stay here again. Everything was perfect! Loved our room with balcony and amazing view. Really enjoying staying in this family-run hotel with charming hosts. It was a great stop off on our Parenzena bike tour (excellent bike storage). The breakfast is fantastic- do not miss this! Only regret is had I known in advance i would have organised an extra day into our itinerary to do the truffle hunting with them - next time! 100% recommend staying here, you will not be disappointed.
